Well, Cards with an afternoon game, so we'll know what's at stake re: the division early on in this one (unless they play 19 again).

But, no matter what happens in the desert, this is what you play for. Win and into the postseason. Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If the last series was the Cubs at Milwaukee, would any Cubs fans show?

Cubs fans come to Miller Park even when the Cubs aren't playing.... so yes.

Nah. Even if the Cards win today, you play to win today and tomorrow, and go into Friday two games down.

Oh, I agree totally. Was just saying the stakes/level of hope get much higher with a Cardinal loss this afternoon. Certainly, you play to win the division as much as possible (without doing something crazy like burning Hader for 4 innings in the next two days or something) until the math says you don't.

I posted this yesterday and nobody replied. Does anybody remember this?

Sounds about right for Milwaukee/ Chicago/ Cleveland (etc.). I could see me convincing my friend to do that at 18-19. Oh alcohol and boredom before those lovely phones you stare at all day now.

This might be the smallest game they've had since June. Kinda weird. Keep it rolling though.

If you think a possible chance to be 1 game from the division lead is small, sure.
