Did you watch the game? Reynolds is a very good hitter and fouled off enough balls until he got HBP (no surprise that Axford is and always has been slightly wild). Stallings should have been out on strikes but the ump blew a call. Axford was locating his pitches well. The last PA to Gamel he may have been injured.

I never expected him to be anything more than a band-aid while we're dealing with COVID anyway. The odds that he was going to magically turn back the clock and be a big part of our pen down the stretch were always very remote.

Every win regardless who it’s against is so damn important right now. Reds schedule is among the easiest in baseball and brewers getting hit hard by covid. Need to get as much space between us and them.
