People still watch the All Star Game?

This is MUCH better than the Pro Bowl that people watch

I went to Wikipedia to compile the Milwaukee All Star Record. The Brewers are 14-38-1. The franchise is 14-39-1. Just counting Milwaukee baseball teams the record is 25-43-2. Milwaukee is 1-1-1 at home if you include the 12th inning win in 1955.

While looking this up I noticed the 2024 ASG will be at Globe Life Field and the 2026 ASG will be at Citizen's Bank Park. I thought it was really odd that they scheduled the '26 game without scheduling the '25 game. And CBP is built so it isn't an issue of waiting for construction. I read the citation and got reminded that 2026 will be the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. So pretty cool that MLB planned that out.

Interesting that we start and finish the season with the Mets. Plus no 17 games in 17 days stretches but a slew of 13s.

I think the lack of divisional games in September is stupid. 7 divisional games in September is not enough.

Thank you! I was searching for this exact version of the 2024 Brewers schedule 🙌🏼

Yeah, I don't really care for this new scheduling where you play every team in MLB. Just go back to the old unbalanced schedule we had before this season.

I look forward to a catcher's eye view of an airbender:

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Realizing how insignificant weekly power rankings are, I am curious where MLB.com ranks Brewers and Reds this week.

Seven days ago, MLB.com had CIN at # 7 and MIL at # 15.

MLB.com has been notably more bullish on the Reds and bearish on the Brewers.
Sites like Bleacher Report and CBS Sports  have been much slower to elevate Cincinnati on their lists. Bleacher Report now has Milwaukee at # 7, ahead of Astros and behind Dodgers.

I mean he is not wrong they are hall of very good but I love the remarks from Votto they are rather funny.  I think Votto has a career as an announcer once he retires hopefully not at ESPN.  He would be rather good on the national TV and I would prefer him over Smoltz and whoever else MLB has now.

Votto and Greinke are both maybe HoF with compelling arguments for in or out.

It's true. If both of these guys played for the Sox, Yankees, Dodgers they'd be shoe ins.

Obviously the hype would be higher if he played for those teams but I think most would still say they are maybes for the HoF with the stats they have put up.  I think both Greinke and Votto deserve to be in as they are some of the better players for their generation.  I don't compare players to past generations as it is unfair to both the past HoF players and the player being talked about for the HoF.  Each player should be judged based on their generation and not on past generations as the game changes from each generation.  There are very few players who would be HoF worthy in all generations.

Ohtani pitches a complete game shutout in game 1. Hits a homer in game two. Second at bat, hits a second bomb, but grabs his rib cage after the swing. Matt Arnold, don’t trade for him now!

The Cardinals once again proved what trash they are.

Last night, Ian Happ hit Contreras in the back of the head on his back swing. He was bleeding pretty bad and had to come out of the game. Mikolas is on the mound and throws the next pitch at his head and misses him. Next pitch nails him in the back. Happ walks down to first and the umpires get together and decide to eject Mikolas. Obviously the right call as there was no doubt it was intentional. Miles is quite upset and you can see him trying to say that it slipped. As he's walking off the field he's jawing with the Cubs dugout looking like he's telling them to come get him. The Cubs dugout, on the other hand, is laughing at him. David Ross is visibly confused as to what is even going on. Mind you, this is all of 2 outs into the top of the 1st inning.

As if the actions on the field weren't bad enough, I watched the Cardinals broadcast of the sequence of events and the announcers were literally screaming mad that Miles got tossed. Two lines that stick out to me were "the umpires have no feel for the game" and "he did it the right way, he hit him in the back". Marmol wasn't ejected right away but when he was they went on to say that "this is only going to make things worse. this game is going to get out of hand now". (spoiler alert: it didn't. nothing else happened other than the Cardinals getting spanked).

It amazes me how this organization can continually be bush league and employ trash people.

It really shouldn’t amaze you.  They are hiring/signing people that fit the “Cardinals Way” after all.
