The danger of needing  5 relievers to all be perfect to pull out a 2-1 win.

Which is pretty much every game for the Brewers.

Well that was unsightly. Wiliams clearly not on point. The Santana failed scoop to start it. Monasterio's inexplicably poor throw. That is an ugly ugly loss. Nats have now won 9-of-11 at Home. Brewers gift them one there. Ugh.

You come out with the 'W there and you're feeling good about yourself - the Nats just swept the Giants at home and took 2-of-3 from the Rangers. Santana makes that scoop to start the inning and it's an entirely different result. Monasterio is capable of those types of egregious gaffes, historically. He has to get that throw for the sure out. Man. That one hurts.

Not that it matters, but I forgave the Game 1 loss since we only struck out three times in that game.

This one’s not excusable though. They put the ball in play when it mattered. We didn’t.

We still only K’d 5 times in today’s terrible loss, but three of them came at the worst possible time. Put pressure on the other team to make plays.
