MLB Pipeline will be sending out their updated top 100 and top 30 for every team lists tonight. They listed Yophery Rodriguez as the Brewers biggest riser.

Brewers: Yophery Rodriguez, OF
Milwaukee signed Rodriguez -- then ranked as MLB Pipeline’s No. 22 international prospect -- for $1.5 million out of Venezuela back in January, and he’s been a prominent DSL performer so far, hitting .284/.432/.514 with six homers in 43 games. Even more astounding, he’s walked 39 times and struck out only 28 times for a 1.4 BB/K ratio that ranks second among DSL players with at least 190 plate appearances. Milwaukee knows how to develop outfielders, and Rodriguez could be its next success story.

New Top 30 is officially released.

1. Chourio (#2 overall)
2. Frelick (#22 overall)
3. Quero (#34 overall)
4. Misiorowski (#38 overall)
5. Black (#56 overall)
6. Gasser
7. Rodriguez (SP)
8. Wilken
9. Lara
10. Pratt
11. Uribe
12. Brown Jr
13. Bitonti
14. Guilarte
15. Yophery Rodriguez
16. Knoth
17. Moore
18. Boeve
19. Blalock
20. Henderson
21. O’Rae
22. Di Turi
23. Areinamo
24. Adams
25. Wood
26. Baez
27. Letson
28. Zamora
29. Mendez
30. Small

This feels like the most accurate our Pipeline Top 30 has been in a while. 19 of my personal Top 20 are in Pipeline's Top 20 with Adams in mine and Moore in Pipeline's. O'Rae, Di Turi, Areinamo, Letson, Small are the only ones in the Pipeline Top 30 that are not in my Top 30.

Just goes to show how impactful the draft was.  Wilken, Pratt, Bitonti, Knoth, Boeve in the top 20 and even Letson makes the top 30.  I love that none of them cracked the top 7, which goes to show how strong the org already is.  I remember many years where our top pick would slot in #1 or #2 in our prospect list.  Then add in the international guys the past couple years and its quite the turnaround.

As for the overall list.  I would nitpick the order but overall, I think they did a good job capturing the top prospects.

If I had to guess I'd put the Brewers at #3

I kind of wish more pitchers made the list, if only because it seems rare you get many scouting reports on non-high or high bonus draft picks until they reach double-A.

Blalock would have certainly been a top 10 prospect just a few years ago.

It’s funny you say that because the 5 players I have in my top 30 that they don’t are Rudy, Birchard, Woessner, Aquino, and Rivero.

I feel like Jace Avina not being in the Top 30 is a pretty solid sign of our current system strength. Between last year and this year he’s a 19/20 year old with a 116 wRC+ in about 450 PA in A ball. He strikes out too much although he’s shown improvement in that department this season, but still a 19/20 year old with 17 HR in 450 PA in A ball is pretty impressive and he’s not considered a Top 30 prospect in our system. I think a few years ago he’s probably a Top 20 prospect in our system

Substitute Low and Cornielle for Woessner (barely missed) and Rudy and I am right there with you.

I was trying to come up with the best hitting prospect not on the list. Devanney? Avina or the now unfortunately injured Perez given how they rebounded from slow starts? The third best hitting prospect on the DSL squads?

Curious as to why O'Rae didn't make your top 30.

It’s the 20 grade power at 2B. That’s a very difficult profile to project to the MLB.

Wasn't sure where else to put this, but Just Baseball (who does good work and has a good podcast as well), released their updated top 100 prospects and the Brewers had six make the list. Lots of good tidbits in the article.

#3  Jackson Chourio           65 FV
#12  Jeferson Quero           60 FV
#38  Sal Frelick           55 FV
#55   Jacob Misiorowski           55+ FV
#63    Luis Lara           55 FV
#71  Tyler Black           55 FV

Nice to see the aggressive Lara ranking. Profile reads like a teenaged, switch hitting Frelick.

Great article…….interesting that they have an ETA of 2026 for Misiorowski……seems kind of odd

Especially when there's a chance he could be up in the bullpen by the end of THIS year.
