It'd be great to give Williams an extra day off here. Don't blow this lead!

So I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet but was there any chance that we could have traded for a bat that wins us the World Series this year.

😀😀😀😀😀

(Please don’t answer this.  Please)

If only someone had complained about this sooner, maybe Canha and Santana would have started this kind of offense sooner.

That's a strong hitter. Reached and took it out.

Yeah, thought it was a sac fly off the bat but then it just kept going.

The ball he hit out there earlier in the game just died, so I didn't think this one was going to carry.

That may be true, but what he does with that data can also be questionable (re: Keston Hiura last year).

It can be the same issue there. Who should you put in the lineup against a LHP who destroys LHB but is vulnerable against RHB?

Many times the available options don’t allow accommodating a pitcher or hitter with reverse splits. You have to consider the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses too.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I don't think CC would have used him today in any case.

Yeah if Williams was going to be used Payamps would have been warming to come in for the 8th

Uribe only used 10 pitches for his 7th. Does CC bring him back out for a batter or two in the 8th? OR has he pitched too much in recent games?  EDIT: Nevermind. Chafin' with Chafin I see. Let's hope he tosses strikes.

Goodness, Andrus made that scoop look ridiculously too easy. That was a rocket. Heck of a play.

Nice bounce back outing for Chafin

Would like to see him throw some strikes with that slider. But, yes, a drastic improvement from Monday.

Other results going our way.

IF the Brewers can finish this off, they will have gone 8-5 in this 13 game stretch against below .500 competition. That's about the minimum they needed, I think.

The good news is, the Giants, Marlins, and Dbacks have struggled lately, so there's a little playoff cushion right now.

I think we take at least one from the Dodgers.
