Sounds like Bryan Hudson’s return is imminent since he’s already back with the team… barring another phantom IL move… do we see DL Hall optioned to make space for Hudson? I don’t even think he would burn an option since we could call him back up 9/1 and it will be fewer than 20 days.

I think we’d all be interested in seeing Mis and/or Yoho at some point this season too. This is a good reminder of how much I hate the new September roster restrictions.

The Dodgers blasted Hudson in LA ... he can wait!

It's not really a mismatch either way, Peralta isn't exactly where he wants to be but Kershaw hasn't been real good since his return either and has yet to complete 5 innings.

Agree 100%. I could see moving away from allowing the rosters to expand all the way to 40, but I hate 28. Thirty or thirty-one would be much better.

If Hall continues to get starts this could boil down to whether Ross can acclimate to warming up & entering in the middle of a game. He looks vulnerable to me right now.

On paper this one's a big mismatch.

I've never been real big on mismatches 'on paper' regarding baseball. It's more a case of who's playing better at the time, or who's better that day. Not that it isn't a big challenge. LA seems to be playing pretty well & Betts is coming back. Vs Pittsburgh they kinda seemed to be in their annoying mode of "Oh, we need a key hit/baserunner here? OK, we have a limitless supply saved up, we'll just pull one out of our arse whenever we need it".

A key to tonite may be if we take a few off the plate early but Kershaw gets the Greg Maddux strike zone. Even if it goes both ways, Peralta isn't nearly as equipped to take advantage of that.

For whatever it is or isn't worth, FanGraphs has the pre-game odds at 53.6% Brewers versus 46.4% for the Dodgers.

Looks like today's biggest mismatch according to them is Diamondbacks (70.2%) with Brandon Pfaadt starting versus the Rockies (29.8%) with some kid named Bradley Blalock starting.

If the Brewers want to be successful against teams like the Dodgers,, especially in a playoff setting, they’re going to have to show more maturity than they did yesterday.

Things like slamming your bat after striking out, leading to a second out on an interference call, and essentially forcing the umpire to eject you from the game, can affect outcomes.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I noticed he was scratched last night for Nashville

I think Perkins might have gotten hurt yesterday. Have no clue when it would have happened, but was weird that Mitchell replaced him defensively in the 9th inning.

"Ladies & gentlemen, step right up and see the major league bench made up entirely of catchers & first basemen!!!" (well, almost)

Saw LAD had to DFA Rosario for Betts less than two weeks after trading for him.  Granted they didn't give much up, but still.  Have to think no way he'll get to us on waivers.   Essentially did LA just trade for him so another contender wouldn't get him for depth.

Black being the guy up not Hicklen is kind of weird. Perkins has been a weak side platoon guy since Mitchell came up and Black is a LHH.

Man, I’d love to see Amed Rosario take all of Monasterio’s ABs from here on out. It has become almost an automatic channel change or leave the room situation when I see him up to bat. Rosario even plays a little 3B occasionally. He’d be such a great get for us, considering where we’re at in the season.
