Not great news on Hall that why you always look to add starting pitching. With the possibility of Woody missing time that two guys who could be in the rotation. Ashby is a key could he handle the starters role or best used out of the pen where he strived

25 pounds of muscle is a crap ton

He probably did gain 25 pounds in the offseason with a good chunk of that weight being water weight and fat. There's literally a 0% chance he gained 25 pounds of muscle in 4 months. Even if you were up to the gills in every performance enhancer you can think of you wouldn't be able to gain 25 pounds of muscle in 4 months.

Hopefully not the Prince Fielder diet...

So shelf Hall for 2025 and have him work on making his body durable all 2025.   The guy is fragile.

Yeah no……….you don’t sit guys who are only controllable for a few years.

The article states that he finished last season at 167 pounds. His listed weight is 185, and the article says he weighed in at 189 this week.

It's not so much that he gained 25 pounds, as much as last season he LOST 18 pounds throughout the season.

Edit to add... it will be disappointing if any of our guys under the age of say, 27 AREN'T in the best shape of their life, LOL.

Definitely a misleading title ... I'd be curious what he weighed at the start of ST last year vs this year.

With that said his arms do look jacked in the photo posted with the article. If Sal can add a little pop to his bat and his peripherals don't suffer because of it ... what a solid player to have on the roster.

An unfortunately, big arms don't necessarily correlate to being a good hitter...

Now if Sal also got Lasik surgery we might be onto something.     Kidding aside, with how they haven't signed another IF one can't help but think he's going to be in the 3B/2B mix. And maybe a little more strength could be the difference on getting his hitting up a notch.   If they had this much confidence in him it would at least make the lack of a vet move of some kind in the IF make sense

The Brewers are notorious for lying in their player listings.  I think they had the most players shrink when MLB came by to do checks on player heights before robot ump test.

If you want to say he is in amazing shape they should just come up with something more reasonable than this. 25 pounds of muscle growth in 4 months is legitimately impossible.

That’s World Series Champion Glenn Braggs to you. I was so bummed when he and Billy Bates went to Cincinnati for Ron Robinson (beardless). According to the internet: The trade helped propel the Reds to win the 1990 World Series.

Glenn Braggs was the one and only player I've ever had sign a baseball card (or anything for that matter).  He was a very nice guy about it, too.  And it was my first BB game in person.  Good memories.
