Open spot on the 40 man now……I assumed they would just hold it for Woody but after checking he is only on the 15 day( not 60) so he already is on the 40.

Believe DL Hall and Perkins are eligible to come off the 60 Day on May 26th if I counted right. Might just leave the spot open until then.

DL had his second rehab outing in the complex league last night. He's got five scoreless IP so far with 1 H | 2 BB | 8 K.

I understand why it happened to Capra however I really was pulling for him after the great Spring.   He should clear waivers and be sent to Nashville I would assume?

Yeah, he can be outrighted the minors unless some other team claims him for some odd reason.

I wonder what the Brewers plans are for Carlos Rodriguez. He's done everything right this year, repeating AAA.  If they want to keep him as a starter then you would have thought they would try him out before the Priester desperation trade.  They could use him as a long reliever (where i think he would do well in), but they called up Hudson instead.  Hudson needs more time to work through his issues and not do it at the Majors.

Brewers third basemen have been far and away the least-productive group at the position in all of MLB this year, hitting just .168/.221/.256 (33 wRC+).

Feel like they may have wanted another lefty up for the Rays series with all the platooning they do.

I have been out of the loop a little bit for a couple of days, but why was Myers sent down? Is he hurt?

Because Myers started yesterday and they have to call up Woodruff by Tuesday because his rehab time has expired.

Well, I think Myers will probably be back in a few weeks, but there is also a chance he’s fallen out of our top 5 when Woodruff and Civale are back. He wasn’t pitching well and a few tune up starts in AAA wouldn’t be the worst idea.

It is still early and we have a few runs in us yet ... but if the Cubs play good baseball through June this is shaping up to be a punt of a season. Let's get all of our trade pieces healthy and reload that system, then bring up all of the young arms and let them grind through the summer.

Heal up Quintana! Need you to bring us back a young outfielder come July :)

Myers was optioned after his last start and can be recalled because of the injury to Quintana.
