Hardly any new posts after yesterday's games, nearly a ghost town.  But to be honest, It was a long day yesterday for Brewer fans, the only thing that could have made it worse was a rain delay with the same outcome. “When you take your deuce, you don’t sit there and look at it. You flush it. And move on” -Jalen Hurts

Yeah losing in Wrigley is bad enough but to get swept in a doubleheader just leaves an awful taste in your mouth.  Thank goodness we built up the big cushion that we have.

Don't even think about tomorrow. Get tonight's game. Leave Chicago no worse than 7 games up. Lose tonight and then a very tough game tomorrow and limp out going 1-4 and they are only 5 GB? It's game on. Give the Cubs new hope while we've lost 5 of 6. Not an ideal situation.

In 2018, Brewers were 6 GB on August 28. We all know what happened. This is far from over.

If they lose one more in the series, I'm done with this team.

Samesies. I've been conditioned to them only losing a game after 11 to 14 straight wins.

Honestly I'm kind of enjoying the nerves for the next two games, good preparation for the playoffs (given however this finishes out, the Brewers should have October baseball)

So with that in mind, and given I live in Northern Ireland, I'm contemplating staying up and watching the game at 1 AM

What d you guys think? Worth it?

Hearts for yes, thumbs down for a "yeah, nah"

@Brock BeauchampIf you let me use polls in future, I 100% will not abuse that power 👀

I hearted, but I also would not stay up until 1 AM if I were in your shoes. That's being a fan right there.

All they need is one of the last two.   To only give up one game in five H2H games is plenty acceptable.

That would give the Cubs the tiebreaker, so it would essentially be losing two games in the standings.

If they give up a 7-game lead with 38 games left to play, they deserve to lose the tiebreaker.

This team seems far too strong to completely fold up against their division rival. I anticipate them winning at least one of the next two games, if not both. Miz just needs to throw strikes tonight and he'll be fine.

When Misiorowski was promoted my biggest concern was starts like the one he turned in in Cincy. But really that was his only outing where he couldn't find the dish for a stretch of 4-5 hitters, and it came after a long layoff & without any rehab appearances. So hopefully a bounceback.

I'll give those guys one thing---they avoided the knee-jerk, flashy deadline move that I imagine many of their fans wanted re Suarez & stuck with Shaw, who is probably playing better on both ends than Suarez right now.

I think this is a pretty big game. We have a 6-game lead if we lose, sure. But this is really Miz going into the pressure cooker here, he has a real opportunity to silence some doubters as his novelty is starting cool off with injury/reality. If he gets shelled you can believe the troll brigade will be out in full force. It is the first big test of his very young career, a hostile environment, division race, playoff-like feel. All that stuff. A strong performance looks really good.

I don't think they swung the bats badly yesterday. Easily could've had double-digit base hits in game two. But looking for Collins to get things cranked back up after sitting all weekend. And Chourio going out on a rehab on Friday is great news.

This is my biggest concern, too.  IIRC, that is why he didn't make the opening day roster.  Fill the zone, Miz.

Yeah Caissie kind of had a coming out moment yesterday for them against us. "I'll be seeing you" if you will. He looks to be a player. I know Miz already faced them once ... but it being a relatively pivotal game, for him to puff his chest out and kind of stake claim to the division himself would be symbolic in a few ways. I'm hoping for it.
