Cubbie meltdowns are almost as pleasurable as Brewer wins. It is really, really close.

I know how you feel. Maybe my favorite of all time was in 2019. They made the splashy deal to bring over Kimbrel, he comes in for the save, Braun greets him with a HR. Then a walk. Then Huira homers to end the game.

I also get a particular joy out of the way the division wound up last year, and is about to wind up this year, after a certain managerial change they made.

Caught two foul balls behind the dugout (actually one was caught by a guy in front of us and gave the ball to my son) going to see if we were on TV, pnc park is the best stadium, great to get a lead like that so we could walk around.

Nice! Riverfront (I can't bring myself to call it by its corporate sponsor name) has also been good that way, usually clears out by end of sixth. So did you give the second ball back to dude in front after you came up with two?

I’m sure the coaches didn’t like that long last at bat but what a performance……..standing ovation 🫡

I was thinking the same thing. I believe they said it was Pitts' longest AB of the game. Right at the end of his outing.

Background behind the OF seats second to none, with I guess the possible exception of the water behind RF in Frisco.

My neighbor's son actually caught the second ball, so both our kids left with balls, it was amazing

Three Rivers is now the parkijg lot between the football and baseball stadiums.  it's always been pnc park since it opened in 2001

No, I was actually referring to Riverfront/GABP, comparing those to what another poster said about PNC.

I agree this year it's pretty special.

But dude I still hate the Cardinals more the Cubs.  That entitled "spoiled brat" fan base who thinks they have special knowledge. They beat us in 82 and that is enough to make me hate them forever.

But they also act like their fan base is enlightened, even though their city is a cesspool.

I actually think the City is great...they've hosted the NCAA Wrestling D1 Championships and the downtown area is great, but I'm with you on the fanbase.

They're being put in their place a bit and I don't see things getting better for them the next 4-5 years vs the Brewers... if not longer. I think this Pirates team is going to be a contender next year(Skenes, Chandler, Jared Jones, Keller and Oviedo)...

The Reds don't have the pitching, but they try to win.

And the Cubs will be decent. I'd probably take STL to finish behind those teams next year(while we obviously win the title).

You go one wrong street over in St Louis you are dicey.

The city with the third highest murder rate. I travel to St Louis often, it's creepy.

Yeah, I've probably been there 30-40 times as well. East St Louis is sketchy, but the downtown area is...again, really nice. They have a whole area down there by the Enterprise Center that's... very-very safe, nice, clean.

It's like any highly populated areas. There are nice areas and there are bad areas. You could spent a lot of time in Chicago and be in a safe area. It's just poverty. You look at the States with the higher murder rates, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana... it's just the poor area. It's the one thing that translates. City, State, country... it all stems from the same thing.

I spend most my time in the Suburbs and then in a VERY-VERY rural area part of the year when I' m feeling like a recluse, but you just need to know where you are.

That's as much as I care to defend St Louis ever.

We were once there on a family vacation and went to a Cardinal game at night and when we left the ramp back on to i-55 was closed and we were forced to go down a few streets and I took the wrong turn and we were driving a minivan through a demilitarized zone and getting some very weird looks.
