Patrick and Drohan and now Drohan and Patrick?

I'm glad Shane is getting a chance.  He really seemed to be impacted by the Brewer's pitching clinic and getting his stuff aligned.  Good to see if he can be a #3/4 SP.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I assume Drohan will be in the starting pitching rotation instead of Patrick since I assume Koening will be up somewhat soon.  Need a lefty/righty mix in bullpen.

Plus Patrick makes it sound like he works better not knowing when he is pitching - nervousness.  To me, if I was in the pen, I would be worried every day, versus as a starter I can relax on the offdays as I know I won't pitch.

I hadn't heard anything about Patrick's nerves... something from one of his interviews?

There's this article on MLB from a few days ago.

“I don’t want to know when I’m pitching,” he said earlier this month after moving out of Milwaukee’s starting rotation. “I like it this way.”

He should take a Meclizine unless its a banned substance, an over-the-counter (OTC) antihistamine used primarily to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is widely available at local pharmacies (like CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid) under brand names like Dramamine Less Drowsy.

Interesting 10 days to complete a string of 13 games in 13 days before the next off day.

All 3 series are against teams with losing records that are below league average in both runs scored and runs allowed per game. On paper it’s an opportunity to stack up some wins.

I’ll be watching closely for any signs of the team breaking out of its current hitting slump. Could really use some games with enough runs to get some wins without too much stress on the pitching staff.

It will also be interesting to see how they handle the pitching rotation with only 2 reliable starters. It has looked like they don’t want the starters going more than once every 6 days.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

For the most part, If they put up similar ABs to what they did the last two days I'll take my chances. They worked more than enough deep counts & had quite a few "at 'em" balls. Definitely some situational ABs that need to be better.

Nice opportunity for Drohan after stacking some good BP appearances.

So sick of Yelich’s approach. He is so inconsistent and easy to strike out!!

He has a beautiful swing when he’s on. It’s really kind of baffling how bad a veteran who has as much experience and is as accomplished as he is can look when he’s off. It’s as bad as it gets.

You know in high school basketball when the starters are all not showing effort/energy - then the 2nd string comes in with some fire - the 2nd half of the game the coach will start the backups to send a message to the starters to get their heads out of their ... ??

If we score less than 3 tonight Hamilton should lead off tomorrow. Yeli, Chourio, Turang 9, 8, 7.

I mean, Turang put up a great at bat and doubled in the 1st inning.....
