All of a sudden we're behind only Atlanta for the best record in baseball.  Dodgers will probably inch back ahead in a couple hours.

Who most likely gets the start for Milwaukee tomorrow night?

And what about Thursday afternoon?

Murph alluded to a roster move. Given the options in AAA I’m guessing Hardin.

Gasser and Carlos Rodriguez need to be an injury replacement.

Pannone won’t be ready for a start till Friday.

Kuehner hasn’t been that good.

So my guess is some combo of Hardin, Sproat, and Crow.

or it’s something goofy like Zastryzny gets the first inning followed by Patrick

Love Megill just coming in and zipping strikes. If he's gonna throw, nice to get out in 9 pitches or whatever it was.

He has really turned things around after that terrible start… …love to see it

They did mention a transaction from Nashville. But I also heard Colman Crow. So who knows.

Yep, glad we didn’t give up on him. Just looking at him, he has the look of a closer. Glad he found it again.

Hardin last pitched on 0528 and Crow last pitched on 0529 so starting them tomorrow and Thursday in that order would would give each that extra fifth days rest between appearances.

With a full 40 Man and no other real good options to send back down to Nashville on the active roster it could finally mean a DFA for Woodford if Tyson is indeed getting the call.

Remember the many months in 2024-2025 when we wanted to DFA Bauers?

A lot of people on here might have wanted to, never me though. He's always been underrated in my eyes.

Such a big call with a runner on 3rd with 1 out vs a runner on 3rd with 2 outs that I don't know why you wouldn't challenge that.  No situational awareness by Frelick.

just doesn't have a good grasp of the strike zone.

I am very confident that sometime in the offseason, with a full season of data now on hand, someone from the Brewer analytics department will be digging through ABS with a fine tooth comb to find out where we are most inefficient and what needs to be done to improve.

Frelick strikes out once every 8.5 at bats... It is the 8th best k% in all of baseball.

Of all things to pick on him for... Strike zone awareness is not it.

he doesn't strike out often; however to me he chases a lot of high fastballs, and as noted on here, he doesn't have good instincts on when to challenge balls and strikes.

I definitely expressed some Bauers skepticism. I know there were long stretches where it felt like he was redundant on the roster.

I was wrong.

The Brewers were right.

That's usually how it goes, and I'm happy about it.

Frelick has an 0swing% (amount of pitches out of the strike zone swung at) of 20.8% .... which is the best on the team amongst regulars.

Major League Leaderboards - Rank - 2026 - Batting | FanGraphs Baseball

(For those wondering, Chourio has a team highest 0swing% of 35.9%)

I guess he doesn't chase much in general, but i swear i see him swinging at a lot of pitches above the zone.
