It’s rough. He’s got a good eye but no pop and teams are going to pitch around guys to get to him. 
 

It’s a testament to the quality of the roster that they’re in games where they’ve got 2 automatic outs in the line up, and another who’s close to that

No doubt it is right now. But that’s why you play him every day right now. Took him a good month to get going in AAA, adjusting to a new level. Even harder to do so in MLB. If he’s still OPSing .550 in mid August, I’ll be quite worried. But I think that’s why you deal with it now, with the presumption that wont be the case with enough time to adjust.

It was insane to let him in the 4th. Could’ve hit Vaughn and had him now have 2 against lefties with RISP and still have 3 guys on the bench for the rest of the game. Especially when you’re probably not hitting for your 8/9 spots today given the defense.

There is no real pattern to Murphy. He does things that make it appear he's doing an interview and not watching the game.
