Am I the only one that doesn’t like the juju of 10-0 given game 1 of 1982?  Gimme 11-0. Gimme 10-1. Don’t like 10-0

Eh, they won two more games after that one.  We only need to win one more.

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.

Experts just missed it

I missed who said it but didn’t someone on the broadcast acknowledge that unanimous picks for Tampa guaranteed a Brewer win?

It seems that being named Captain was a “reset” moment for him. Almost overnight, he went from the 4-3 rollover to 2nd base to quality hitter once again.

It sure did. Murph did a good thing there.

Ashby was saying he still wants to be a starter

I was wondering if this was still a possibility.  I wouldn't be opposed.  Plus his salary starts bumping up next year.  Still OK for a high-end BP arm, but  might as well maximize him if you can.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Everyone talked about how smart he was in Game 1 to save his horses and how good the Rays felt in spite of the lost, but his B relievers gave up a run in a winnable 1 run game.

Not a whole lot he could have done to change this one, though.

The Brewers were clearly the better team. The best shot Cash had was... the Brewers beat themselves.

That has not happened!

Is Gasser Arby eligible next year?  I thought he had less than 2 years of service time to start 2026?  Or do we control his services through 2030?

Gasser is "Pre-Arb" in 2027; arbitration-eligible in 2028; free agent in 2031 - same as Priester and Harrison.

I think with a healthy DL Hall, maybe Cameron Wagoner, Drohan... you could definitely try Ashby out as a starter again.

He sure as hell has the stuff and the 4 pitch mix!
