could have been worse. Not much different from what we had in 08 and 11 IIRC.... but we played more so on the weekend then didnt we (it seemed)?

The NLDS game 1 and 2 were on a Saturday and Sunday, game 5 was on a Friday. The NLCS started on a Sunday.

I was there for all of them, I couldn't recall! Thank you!

When were the games in 08 do you recall? I remember one during the middle of the day during the week I thought it was? What a dark series that was... barf.

I really lucked out with the Friday schedule. If it would have been noon I wouldn't have been able to make it. 3pm gives me just enough to to make it up there from Chicago.

Yeah, this does beat noon on Friday. Also, didn't look at this until now, but the NLCS home games would all be on Fridays and Saturdays and all 3 WS home games would be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless Cleveland was the AL champ.

Hmm. My daughter has sports practice from 5-8 ET Thursday, basically exactly when the game is going on. I'd prefer not to watch on my laptop/phone, but I guess I'll have to. Maybe I'll turn it off on the drive home and pick it up on DVR.

I realize Thursday and Friday are home games, so the start times are important, but the absolute BEST time they got was Sunday at 3:37...no conflict with the Packer game! As soon as the Packers are over..go right to the Brewer game.

Now I have to figure out how to sneak out of work early for 2 consecutive days.....

I was at work yesterday and got less than nothing done before, during, or after the game.

Might be coming in early and skipping lunch.

For those now selling tickets because of these game times - can we all just promise each other that we won't sell our tickets to Cub fans (assuming they win tonight of course). Let's please try to sell these tickets to Brewer fans, so we don't have to deal with 10-15K Cub fans in Miller Park on Thurs/Fri.

How would one go about doing that? Unless you personally know a pool of people dying to go and pay at least face value, it is just not that easy to do. The reality is that you end up with eight people who say "maybe," four who "have to check with person xyz first," three who "have to try to get off work," 80% of whom you never hear from again.

If people weren't so flakey to deal with it would be a plausible solution. But after someone has fronted, in some cases $600 for 4 tickets to a game they can't attend, they are going to sell them the fastest and least annoying way they can.

This is just a hunch, but if the Cubs are eliminated tonight, I bet the Brewers release the barcodes.

I don't think you can determine who gets your tickets if you use a site like StubHub. And selling tickets yourself outright can be a pretty big hassle.

If the Cubs win tonight, there will be a lot of Cub fans there. That's simply because there are a ton of Cub fans that reside in southern Wisconsin in close proximity to Miller Park. And you know that after the big crowd of Brewer fans that invaded Wrigley yesterday, those Cub fans will be chomping at the bit to be loud at Miller.

Does anybody on here ever use shuttles from bars/restaurants in the Milwaukee area to get to & from Miller Park? Any suggestions on any of them that are usually quick and easy outs when leaving Miller Park?

I usually just park and tailgate, but time won't allow tailgating on Thursday and Friday so was curious if taking a shuttle would be better. I'm coming from north of Milwaukee.

I know people want as many Brewers fans at games but honestly, there's really nothing you can do when selling them on the secondary market. If Cubs fans are able to buy mine because of dumb game times, then I guess it is what it is.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

One thing you can do is list and sell now. Cub fans likely aren't buying tickets to this game yet. That will change around 10 pm tonight if they win.

Anymore badgering, berating, or belittling fellow posters over who they sell their tickets to is going to be met with bans. This subject is done let's talk about the games, the schedules, and other things, but this belittling other posters for what they choose to sell or do what their tickets is done. It's finished. Cool??

I’m bummed that the Thursday game is so early. I bought tickets for the first NLDS game at MP when I assumed, like everyone else did, that the Brewers only path to the game would be winning the wild card game and facing the Cubs. So I thought I was getting tickets for game 3 on Sunday. Because my two daughters who live in town are schoolteachers they won’t be able to go to a game at 3 PM and they were really looking forward to going to a playoff game.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I've used them. If you're looking to get out of there quickly, a shuttle is not the way to go unless you plan to rush over to the pickup spot as soon as the game is over (while frantically searching for exactly where your shuttle might be amongst the 50+ lined up at the pickup spot)

I've found myself, more and more often, parking on Wisconsin/Wells and walking down to the stadium. 20 minute walk. No hassle leaving.

Yep. Or take one of the Steve's / Kelly's / Slim's shuttles into the game and just walk back to Bluemound after the game. You'll likely beat the shuttle, unless you get on the first round.

I bought Packers tickets off of Craigslist a few years ago for a game in Atlanta. When I met the guy to buy them, I pretended I was a Falcons fan just in case he'd get pissed and refuse to sell. I faked it pretty well.

Though the start times not optimal, it's doable. Get home around the 4th inning on Thursday and Friday head over to some place after work to watch the ending.

I don't watch much post-season baseball if the Brewers aren't playing, so I was surprised to see they still have these early start times in the playoffs. It's really too bad, as I'll basically miss any games or partial games during working hours.

I'm sure they have it all figured out, but it makes little sense to me why they wouldn't have all weeknight games at night, even if they stagger the start times as much as possible. I must be wrong, but just makes sense to me ratings would be higher at night even if two games were on simultaneously. Will they have weird start times in the NLCS also?
