2018-10-05 (NLDS Game #2): Rockies (Anderson) at Brewers (Chacín) 3:15 PM CDT [Brewers win, 4-0]

Great at bat by Shaw as well. Setting up a chance for Santana in this inning

I thought it was clearly their plan to set up a DP with the speedy Kratz at the plate.

Keep the train going boys!!!

[dlk9s]

Seemed safe from the long distance view.

[LouisEly]

Come on Kratz, just need a fly ball to near the warning track...

[jason21nl]

Trying to get cute

[dlk9s]

He's safe, but they'll say he's out.

Trying to get cute

Trying to run on Anderson to avoid the double play.

[jason21nl]

Of course. They’re not over turning it. That’s trying to get cute

[MoreTrife]

What are the chances a shoe blocks a slide into base two times in a season????????

[owbc]

Not surprised at that call. Nothing definitive on replay.

[lcbj68c]

Not going to be conclusive

[stoutdude04]

Late tag. Safe in my opinion.

[HarveysWBs]

Good. I was just thinking we needed another baserunning error with RISP. Perfect

Kratz and the pitcher are up

[dlk9s]

I mean, I thought it was pretty obvious that his hand/fingers still got to the base before the tag.

[coolhandluke121]

I don't think you can be so afraid of a double play. Better chance of a hit or fly ball than stealing home.

Wouldn’tChacin be done after 4 scoreless?

I mean, I don't know how the ump calls him out initially...

[dlk9s]

I actually liked the play. Desmond either played it really well or really badly to foil it. I'm not sure which.

[Yolk]

Ugh, too aggressive. He was out though.

[MillerParkSouth]

Why even get cute when you have the pitcher on the ropes???

[jason21nl]

You mean the guy that got a hit and a pinch hitter?

[OnaBadger58]

The intent wasn't to steal home. Anderson takes forever to throw the ball, but he caught Shaw running.

This, this this - twice they've run into outs trying to avoid the double play. Trust your guys to hit a fly ball or a grounder that is not right at someone.

Stops the sac fly chance, could stop you from turning over the order, gives an out to a pitcher in trouble. Really hurts.
