2019-04-15: Cardinals (Hudson) at Brewers (Peralta) [Brewers win, 10-7 -- Christian Yelich gives away a puppy, hits 3 home runs, tallies 7 RBI, makes sliding and diving catches, sheepishly obliges to curtain call]

Should have taken the out at first.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Ugh. Can't have that, especially with the top of the order coming up.

Especially when your pitcher is a gas can. He is pitching terribly without giving away extra outs.

Brewers should consider batting the pitcher 8 at this point. Arcia is brutal 95% of the time. Pitchers have been awesome with the sticks.

Batting the pitcher 8th becomes advantageous the better the 9 hitter is, or rather the bigger the difference between the 8 and 9 hitter. If your pitchers are better hitters than your worst position player, they should keep batting 9th. Or move up further than 8.

No double switch? So be brings in Albers to face hopefully two batters... in the fourth inning?

That be the plan, I guess. After Chacin's 2.2 innings yesterday it looks like we might get the San Antonio Shuttle warmed up this series.

That was a brutal call from Ron Kulpa, but I am sure this crew will find an opportunity for a makeup call later in this series.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Brewers lucky that isn't reviewable. Goldy should have been on 1st, bases loaded 1 out.

After Arcia's screw up, all is where it should have been. 2 on, nobody out and Carp and Goldschmidt coming up.... 0 runs. That was not expected.

My only question about that would be is Goldschmidt's back foot out of the batter's box? I doubt it, but that's something to look at as well. But yeah, the Brewers got a break there.

Arcia's screw up wasn't an obvious umpire screw up.

Eh, every team has calls like that go for and against them at some point during the year.
but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I wonder if we see Burnes at some point this game and call someone up to take his spot in the rotation when it comes around.
