Morton is putting it where he wants it. He’s only got two pitches going, but he has absolute control of them tonight. Burnes has the whole arsenal, but not much of a feel for any of it, and it is been the difference so far in this one.

Through two full innings, 37-year-old Charlie Morton has thrown the five fastest pitches, topping out at 97.6 mph.

Sounds dead there. Whether we’re batting or pitching.

Disappointing to see / hear.

Morton needs to be thoroughly inspected for foreign substances AND given a rapid result PED test in between innings....something's up

I'm sick of these 30+ guys with max velocity. Scherzer, Morton, Verlander even degrom is increasing his mphs into the triple digits. Crazy.

Former Brewers who made the Braves NLDS roster include Will Smith, Orlando Arcia and Drew Smyly (well, he was Brewer property at least).

I believe Jace Peterson is the only former Brave who is now a Brewer

The Braves even have form Brewer Kevin Seitzer as their hitting coach.

I think people are severely overstating Burnes being off. The only reason it seems that way is because the Braves aren't chasing some pitches like teams normally will. Go look at his gamecast, everything on the edges or off the plate. This is exactly what you want from your ace. Burnes can afford some walks because of how elite he is.

Burnes looks like he's settling in. Lets see what Morton looks like the 2nd time through the order.

Also I'm guessing the sun/shadows are not helping.

Much better from Burnes there. Starting with the pitcher helped, and Freeman still made him work a little, but a clean inning is a clean inning. Can’t ask for more in the postseason.

it's 0-0 and neither team has a hit.

Of course you are correct. But you can’t realistically tell me Burnes has looked the equal of Morton so far. I agree that results are all we need to care about here, but of the two, Morton is far and away executing better.
