He should have been standing on third if he didn’t admire his long double. Cost us a run and maybe the game.

Didn't look like he admired it all that long

We just wanted to get Rogers a save.

Some things just aren't meant to be.

If I’m Woodruff, I’m absolutely pissed. Leave after 7 with a 6 to 1 lead, and the Brewers worthless pen blows yet another win.

It’s just time for Counsell to leave. He’s worthless.

Someone probably has a stat to prove me wrong but it seems like all the 'relief help' we got at the deadline has actually made the bullpen a lot worse.

This team is pathetic.

That’s why theyre last amongst the teams trying to win. Blow a 5 run lead while the team ahead of them in the wild card chase is losing

Yeah really. Just pathetic!

I think back to April and May when I didn’t want to miss a pitch, and how far we’ve come that now I can barely muster the strength to care at all about this team.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Brewers have never been anything, and they never will be. And what a sucker I am to still be cheering for them.

This has been an utterly poor year of management from Craig.  I understand the bullpen isn't anything special but he has made so many more head scratching moves this year that make no logical sense and they seem to backfire more often than not.  I mean it's always a win some/loss some but in years past I think the true managerial decisions/moves he made tended to net out positive by years end.  This year has been the complete opposite.  In reality, he has really struggled to adapt bullpen management after MLB decided to change the rules to 3 batters/end of inning.  Last year he was just blessed with an elite 3 guys in the 7th/8th/9th.  This one stings bad.

Every time Counsel wants to pull one of his TOR starters when they are cruising and under 100 pitches late in the game, he just has to remember that all of his instincts are wrong and then simply do the opposite a la “the reverse Costanza.”
