"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Apparently Pat Listach wore #4 in 1996 for some reason. I can find no visual record of this, though. But it apparently did happen.

4 – Retired, of course, for Paul Molitor, Pat Listach actually wore #4 in 1996 as a tribute to his former teammate. It was also worn by Brett Favre when he took batting practice at County Stadium in 1998.

Wait, isn't that Geoff Jenkins?

A quick Google Images search reveals that throughout his career Listach appears to have always worn a number that was a multiple of 4. But I also couldn’t find him in a #4 Brewers uni.

First, Wisconsin's own J.P. Feyereisen:

Then Jedd Gyorko, who had an excellent 2020 COVID season, otherwise known as the season that time forgot:

Finally, Tim Johnson, who was #4 before Molitor. Johnson has a pretty interesting story in his own right. He was hired as manager of the Blue Jays in 1998, and went on to win 88 games, only to get embroiled in a scandal concerning lies he told his team concerning his combat service in Vietnam. He never held another MLB job after that.

Ever realize #4 is retired on all Wisconsin pro-sports franchises?

Bucks-4 Moncrief

Brewers—4 Molitor

Packers—4 Favre

Is there any other city/state that has had three better players wear the same number?

Perhaps LA #32:  Magic Johnson, Sandy Koufax, Marcus Allen.  But I like ours better.

This game is genius.

Detroit had some great #16s. Bob Lanier, Hal Newhouser and Vladimir Konstantinov, but that's way below Milwaukee's and LAs.

Chicago has some awesome number 9s: Minnie Minoso (White Sox), Ron Harper (Bulls), and Bobby Hull.
