The good news is the Brewers pitching will keep them in most games.

The bad news is the Jekyll and Hyde hitting will only keep them IN most games

Giving Wainwright #200 was all the sentimenal charity 💩 we should afford!   Our guys should bring their bats with them when they step up to the plate this game.

My fear is the offense goes to crap going into the playoffs, much like 2021.

I'm scared of that too. Hey if they go through a cool stretch now, they can get hot again for the playoffs. Just like the Phils, Braves of a couple years ago.

And 22 of them against the crew.

His best start  of the season and 200th career win against Milwaukee last night was only fitting. Wainwright has been the biggest Brewer killer, west of Aaron Nola.

More innings pitched against Milwaukee than any other team, more wins against. A quarter of his career complete games (7 of 28) were against the Brewers, and 3 of his 11 shutouts occurred against Milwaukee. Glad he’ll be retiring because even in the midst of a crappy season he still has their number.

They finished that season 4-10 with CC resting people periodically. It's a balancing act. You obviously want to give folks a blow here & there when given the opportunity, but when you take your foot off the gas it can be tough to ramp it back up.

No Yelich again, and they continue to play a man short on the bench.  2 actually since Anderson never plays under any circumstance either.

I still think "Nootbaar" is a great name for a nutritional snack that you could keep in your pack on a hike or bike ride.

Or human excrement which is perfect for a St. Louis cardinal
