Considering how many Mets fans were at the weekend series, I'm a bit surprised that tickets are not going for at least a little closer to original cost.

Agree with owbc regarding Brewer fan playoff "fatigue".  Same thing started happening to the 90's Braves.

$100 tickets going for $30. Do people just not care about the Wild Card round or a combination of when the game starts on a weekday?  In the 2010’s they were sold out almost immediately.

I think that is sad because if the Bucks or Packers played a 4:30 game today of this importance they would be sold out already.

Astros tickets are going for even cheaper on the secondary market. Playoff fatigue is real.

Also, the start time is crappy. Tickets are going for almost $20 more tomorrow night.

Don't think that's a fair comparison. NFL playoffs are all elimination games and Fiserv has less than half the capacity of AmFam (also NBA tends to lend itself to corporate entertainment more than MLB does).

The NFL would never be stupid enough to schedule a Packers game at 4:30 on a Tuesday.

Not happy about Mears being on the roster. Not sure what the Brewers see in him, but it seems like they really like him for some reason and I'm worried they are going to use him in some high leverage situation. Would be more than happy to eat my words if he shines.

Think they felt like another lefty wouldn’t be needed against the Mets.

My guess is if Mears gets innings things will be going very well or very poorly but we will see.

Wow I feel dumb for paying full price. Never again. Rick S. took me to the cleaners.

Yep it's MLB and baseball's playoff structure's fault for attendance figures. Tuesday night, with school back in session and an early start time it's hard on people who work and who have kids. I'd say upper 30,000s and low 40,000 would be a great crowd. And yes some people are a bit playoff fatigued with playing poorly early in the playoffs the past 5 years I would say as well. If we make the next round people will wake up.

Pretty crazy to think that Playoffs and Brewers could become a normal thing. Back in 2008 you weren't sure if it would ever happen again!

I'd have to imagine Frelick is a break glass in case of emergency option for this series. His game is so dependent on speed that it would be counterproductive to have him in the lineup if he's still limping around, and he's effectively interchangeable with Perkins.

That being said, watch him be starting in RF today.

I get trying to undercut the scalpers from the get go but those initial prices were wildly high. I got SSH extras in the loge bleachers for $60 each with similar seats going for $33 now on seatgeek. I'd love an atmosphere anywhere close to game 3 in 2008 vs the Phillies but I think we'll have to wait until the DS and beyond for that.

It's a product of (1) game start time and (2) we're such consistent winners that the opening round is no longer a novelty.

Just looking at ticket sales, it's going to be an upper-30,000s crowd, I doubt anyone will even notice that there are a few thousand unsold seats. It will be a loud, energetic crowd.

I don't blame people for waiting for the NLDS/NLCS (WHEN we win...).

Fixed that for you. 😉 #havefaith

Hope you are right. The way the Brewers have talked about Mears and they situations they have used him in at times in the regular season does not match this line of thought.

I never thought they would use Winker in a clutch situation in the playoffs last year.......

Your right that isn't a good comparison and Milwaukee is a small population city also but they did rank 16 in 2024 attendance.

I mean as long as no Cubs fans are in the proverbial Hizzy, I think it's all good from here. Maybe my expectations and demands are too low?

It's already been a wildly successful season, considering the seemingly overwhelming odds we faced in March. I find myself more appreciative of October baseball this year compared to the last few years which have been highly stressful and ultimately quite depressing. In a sense it feels like the dawn of a new era of highly competitive baseball as opposed to last year which felt more like a last gasp. A series loss would sting for a few minutes (I'll really miss Willy), but would quickly be replaced by the knowledge of an ascending core of players led by a burgeoning 20 year old superstar to go with a healthy Yelich. That being said, there's no reason we can't win now (we won 93 games after all), so LET'S GO CREW!

I seem to remember some complaints about not selling out Bucks games in the first games of the early series the last couple years too.

But Packers games are no comparison.  Having a one game "series" for each round and only 3-4 games to win a championship (with only a max of 2 home games) does change how people are going to take care of limited opportunities.

No Hudson……Frelick is good to go

Sunday's roster less Rea and Milner.  Much preferred over last year where they added three guys who hadn't been in the majors since early September or longer (Winker).

The Packers also had trouble selling out a playoff game against SF a few years ago...

I think it's as much about the wild card now being a 3-game series including a division champion diluting the playoffs as much as anything.  People are saving their money for the NLDS/NLCS/WS.
