We need to update the prospects list. Where would you put Caleb Durbin on the following list? Not your own personal rankings of him, but where you see him fitting on Brewer Fanatic's list. If you don't see him in the top 20, that matters. Please chime in with "off the list" or something similar. A vote for 21+ lowers his overall ranking in the tally.

I'd probably slot him in at #19 between two other diminutive Brewers prospects.

Big believer in Luis Pena's upside at #18 even though he is on the opposite end of the proximity scale so can't put Caleb ahead of him.

Love Luis Lara's defense in CF and he has plenty of time to figure out the rest, but Durbin is just on a whole different level as a hitter and on the cusp of MLB.

I would say in the 7-10 range. If he was expected to start in the majors, he's gotta be pretty high up.

If he was expected to start every day in the majors I'd agree, but right now it looks like he's more slotted to fight it out and earn playing time as part of a timeshare so that has to knock him down a little.

Believe MLB dropped him in at #15 on their Brewers Top 30 for whatever that is or isn't worth.

Longenhangen gave him a 40 FV at FanGraphs. Their Brewers list will be getting updated this offseason, but that is in the same tier that starts with Bitonti at #14, CarRod at #15, Pena at #18, Meccage at #19 in the last update.

I'd say 14, just behind Luke Adams, but ahead of Craig Yoho.

Floor is a more potent Monasterio. Ceiling is a righty Brice Turang with a little more pop, given his pull-hitting tendencies.

Yeah, this range seems right to me. It really depends on how you view Durbin's pull power despite his size. And how much you believe in the Brewers' ability to coach power.

I don't have a lot of faith in either, which puts him toward the bottom of the guys you listed.

I agree with you,  AFL Breakout Prospect of the Year, Caleb Durbin was the star of the circuit this fall, hitting .312/.427/.548 with five homers in 24 games. He set a league record with 29 stolen bases, shattering the previous record of 24 which stood since 1994.

To put him that high, who are you bumping?

I just don't think he is a top 10, looking at the list, I'd probably put him at 20.

I also would put him in the lower third. I would have him 18-19 range because of a lot of higher ceiling players and some with better tools (Quero, Pratt, Made, Payne, Peña, Y Rodriguez, Wilken, Boeve, Adams, Bitonti as position players). But just my opinion. Interesting to see the variability among posters here.

I agree with Sveum and Turbo. He's in the 17-30 range with all those other guys that could be ranked #20. But to leave him OFF the list doesn't feel good for our return on the Devin Williams trade.

I would probably slot him in the 17-22 range right now. The Brewers obviously like him, but with all prospects we don’t know until they get to the MLB and perform.

I would probably put him like 16. He is similar prospect value wise to KC Hunt. Part of me says Baez and Arienamo are better prospects because of age but the part that is winning says he is further along and has been successful so he gets a boost. At 25, not having mlb takes a bunch off his prospect value. He can still be an all-star type player, but for me age puts him out of the top 10 until he makes the big league club and has a few good games.

jay87shot says part of him has Baez and Arienamo ahead of Durbin and he is correct. I know Durbin is closer to the big leagues, but the highest I would go is 23 for Durbin.
