Grant Anderson took the hill,

His fastball crisp, his slider shrill.

With each sharp pitch, he carved the zone,

Determined to make this start his own.

But Slade Cecconi matched with might,

His heater humming, breaking right.

Guardians batters roared with pride,

While Milwaukee’s dugout swayed with stride.

Final frame, the air was tight,

A Guardians threat loomed in the night.

But the closer fired, sharp and true,

A swinging strike—the game was through!

Milwaukee stormed the field with pride,

A Cactus League win—must-win supplied.

Though just the spring, the tone was clear:

The Brewers came to fight this year.

I’m sticking with my long shot prediction, that within a few weeks I’ll be reading “Brewers Tyler Black will be getting spring reps at 3b, in contention for starting role”

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Yoho strikes out the side

He'll start the year in Nashville but will probably be the first bullpen arm up when needed.

I don't know why...If he is one of our best, and it appears to be the obvious case, then he should start out with the Brewers from day one!

Raynel Delgado was a minor league signing that was easy to miss.  He will probably be a depth guy in the organization at AAA but you never know with a guy like him.  He’s an advanced minor leaguer and his stats might show something to build off of.

The downside of having options and also not being on the 40 unfortunately since you have to evaluate the possible depth loss if you put him on the MLB roster.

At this rate, it sure seems the downside of keeping Yoho in the minors is greater than the benefit of protecting a fringe bullpen member.

We don’t seem to struggle with finding high-performing relief pitchers at low cost.

Maybe but when have the Brewers operated that way?

RULE #1:

Never trade a decent pitcher with decent stuff and getting better even when moving up the ladder towards the MLB.

NEVER! Especially if he is being compared to a young Devin Williams?

Can you smell what the Brewers got cooking?

Devin Williams changeup (2024) 84 MPH 42 inches of vert / 19 inches of arm side 49% whiff rate Craig Yoho changeup (AAA) 78 MPH 47 inches of vert / 18 inches of arm side 45% whiff rate.

Nice job, DIRECTV And MLB.tv on my Roku

super excited all day to watch a game finally and it’s the Reds broadcast only.  Even 669 on DIRECTV (the Wisconsin channel) has the Reds feed.   Grrr.

on my phone, I can at least get brewers radio.

oh well.  Still, a bit disappointed

Someone will go on the DL within a few weeks. Which will free up a spot for him as well as let you retain the other player.

In addition, someone more knowledgeable could probably break down the service time and control aspect on him. With how good he looks it is worth factoring in getting another year of control

Not sure you can blame DIRECTV or Roku…….obviously brewers tv isn’t doing the game so they picked up the Reds feed…….im happy to just be able to watch it.
