Starting P for Houston today is apparently a guy who played college ball at UW-Milwaukee, never heard of before named AJ Burbaugh.

With their 4-25 record and -78 run differential,  I wonder how many games the Rockies can manage to lose this season.  Holy crap they are terrible.

And have to play vs that brutal division, perfect combo to break the record.

Already 0 W - 6 L in their two series vs LAD and SDP so far.

White Sox went 10 W - 42 L last year. Rockies might be lucky to win a half dozen division games with the NLW gauntlet this year.

In order below are the numbers for Brewers 3B in aggregate, McMahon, Ortiz and oft mentioned off season target Alex Bohm...

182/248/283 (49 wRC+)
3.6 BB% | 19.6 K% | -0.6 WAR

152/280/242 (42 wRC+)
14.4 BB% | 33.9 K% | -0.2 WAR

190/264/220 (40 wRC+)
8.0 BB% | 15.2 K% | -0.3 WAR

221/252/274 (45 wRC+)
2.5 BB% | 17.6 K% | -0.4 WAR

Brewers might just have been doomed from the jump on 3B this year, though Durbin has at least stabilized things somewhat over the last couple weeks.

Tyler Black is sad at the moment he can't work with this zone. I'm convinced part of his struggles last year was getting the rookie expanded zone treatment early on and it got him out of his game plan to far.

Saw on ESPN's article on the first month of the season and had to look it up for myself: Oneil Cruz has been so brutal moving to center field full time that his WAR so far is 0.1 despite having an .897 OPS.

Someone should tell Jackson Chourio that since he swings at 60% of every pitch thrown to him.

Is that sort of like Sex Panther cologne? 60% of the time, it works ALL of the time? Lol. Must be the real bits of panther in it.

Devin with another blow up outing tonight………Yankee fans are done with him.

Two walks and a bloop single. I probably would have left him in. Luke Weaver allowed the inherited runners to score.

The walks have always been a problem……he was able to manage it with the brewers but it’s caught up with him this season.

You have to believe he’s costing himself a lot of money but I guess we will see.

And the division with the worst cumulative record is the AL East. Ten games under .500.

So many interesting trends in the standings this year. The NL is fully asserting itself as the dominant league. 4/6 division leaders did not win their divisions in 2024. Several 2024 playoff teams are in deep doo doo yet 18 teams at or above .500 thanks to the bad teams being really, really bad. And the Mariners are now an offensive powerhouse. Crazy.

Unless he turns it around who would give him a muti-year deal? A coupe of failures on the big stage of the playoffs, then a bad regular season as an encore and he’ll be looking at 1 year prove it type deals.

Also worth considering is if the Yankees reach a point and simply DFA Williams. Would be shocking on the one hand, but with an era over 9, and Williams only good for about 60 innings per season, and the Yankees trying to win their Division and be the top seed, there does reach a point where they run out of rope.

Makes sense, sign a bunch of retread guys who were never that good to begin with, then expect miracles.

When that doesn't work, fire the manager.

How long before Skenes demands a trade?  What frontline starter wants to waste their career toiling in that dumpster fire of a franchise?

Not sure if I remember any preabitration player forcing themselves out via trade. Seems like a bad faith collective bargaining action to me.

I think he gets demoted to the 7th inning, finishes with a 3.xx era and signs with a team like the Rockies for 3 years $40m or so

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.
