Shelby Miller signs with Brewers

He signed with the Brewers, but never actually played.  It was a low risk MiLB deal, but then COVID happened.

The fact Tobias Myers came in during a tied game today instead of Nick Mears makes me think I know who this pitcher is.

If they use it as an opportunity to see if Gasser can be a playoff piece then worse things have happened.

Gasser is going to be a stud coming out of the BP.  Perfect situation for him to gain condense going into next season.  He’s going to be an amazing pitcher for us in the coming years!

It will likely be Grant Anderson coming off of the IL.

Gasser threw 45 pitches on Wednesday.  Patrick threw 71 pitches yesterday.  Gasser likely won't be available until Sunday considering that he's coming back from major injury.

I think McGee will be able to return in place of the presumably injured Mears. McGee last pitched for Nashville on the 2nd.

Yeah, I know he was dealing with some back issues.  In fact, I recall it was during one of his blowup performances against the Marlins at home back in late July.  I thought for sure he'd be going on the IL after that, but he never did.  Not that I would wish injury on anyone, but if it is Mears that is going on the IL - I could think of much worse things happening right now.  He hasn't been pitching well in a while anyway.

I guess it makes sense they called up Rodriguez. It always rains there and he was the hero in Pittsburgh in May right before getting injured.

Becoming clear Brewers don't know what to do with Hoskins. They don't want to cut him and see him in the playoffs. No other explanation makes sense.
