The pain will linger for Singer!

We are gonna' hit him for more than one Dinger!

At the Reds batters, Aaron will be glarin'

They and all the Reds fans will be despairin' !!!

Ortiz on base 5 times against Philly's.  Can he turn it around at the plate now?

He's definitely been getting better swings lately. It's funny how much better the .239 / 11 HRs he ended up with last year looks compared to the current .187 / 2.

Hoping Civale can pitch six innings today. He has not eclipsed 79 pitches yet this season.

Was it still the hamstring issue bothering him?

I assume we are taking things slow with Civale. Would be great to not have to use all our leverage relievers on back to back days 🙂

Aaron Ashby good for 2 then Rob Zastryzny, Grant Anderson available.

phillie's reddit was complaining about turner and complimenting some defensive plays by Ortiz. rooting for him to continue this trajectory.

Welcome to the board!

Civale better pitch well.  It’s aggravating that Henderson lost his spot

Yeah, that's going to happen given the odd circumstances that led them to having essentially two sets of starting rotations. A young, controllable guy is going to lose out to a vet that the GM traded assets for all things being largely equal, at least for now. Could change if Civale falters.

It was not long ago that Freddy was our only starting pitcher and there were some real gas cans in the pen.  This is a better problem to have.

His defense has been very strong lately so you can live with his offense when everybody else is contributing as they are right now. Regardless, he's clearly showing more offensive ability as well so it's just a plus.

MLB equivalent of having your dad as the coach

Roster Management only is my guess, he is young and can work on things in AAA where you can't up here just like Tobias Meyers. Henderson will be back for sure later in the season and100% fresh.

Yeah the fanduel tab at the top just disappeared for me as well. Still could watch it just wasn't as easy accessing it. Think amazon is having some bugs today.

The Lou Gehrig Day tribute brings back a memory for me.

On July 4;1964 we were at Yankee Stadium for a doubleheader between the Yankees and Twins.

They had a ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of Gehrig’s Luckiest Man speech with his widow on hand to throw out the first ball.
