Make a splash:

MIL gets Gunnar Henderson

BAL gets Tobias Myers, Chad Patrick, Cooper Pratt

DFA Montestario.

Would that could be considered all in? Not sure... 😉

I’ll concede that I wish they would have (still can for 37 more minutes!) make a minor move for an infielder or two.

The bench is really weak, and they’re an injury or two away from some black holes in their lineup. They’ve got plenty of help on the way, but it’s a ways away yet.

Look at what the Mets, Dodgers, Phillies, and Padres have done today? These are significant upgrades being made. The Brewers should be looking to hold on to the #1 seed. The post of mine you responded to didn't demand they match what these NL contenders have done. I'd settle for at least improving on the margins.

Can you imagine dropping from the #1 spot at deadline into a road wild card series?

If the goal is to 'match' what the Dodgers, Pads & Mets do on deadline day, I'd have told you two months ago you'd be disappointed. I'd like to see the team improve too. But what happens today is often the work of people who don't have to worry about selling off the farm because they can write checks to FAs in January.

Or SD, and there's a reason why you don't see other teams doing what they do. Eventually Preller might create his own mini-national debt.

Do you think other teams don't have holes? Have you seen the Cubs bullpen? Phillies have the same issue.

And the Phillies did something to the bullpen by picking up Duran and making some other moves to support other positions.

So far the Brewers have done nothing but swap out for a backup catcher who won’t play much unless there is a significant reduction in Contreras’ workload.

Because the Twins are cleaning house I am still holding out hope that the Brewers can pick up Castro to provide help at several positions.

The Cubs have been surprisingly quiet but I still expect them to land an SP like Alcantara.

Appreciate that my friend but when you drink that 18 dollar beer keep in mind that you deserve better.

Yes. You deserve a $20 beer.

In the least I deserve an $18 beer that tastes like a $20 beer.

For the record, I would like some kind of utility guy too and maybe a bullpen arm. But if those are the only holes to fill, I am not super depressed if they are not filled.

That hurts

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Of course they do.

The Brewers are standing pat while the other NL playoff contenders are making moves.

At least they can fly a flag for best record in MLB at the 2/3 mark.
