Sorry if any of this has been mentioned already, it's a long thread & I won't unpack it until later. I just want to mention some stuff that might be overlooked.

There's some disappointment on not beefing up the bench/left side of the INF more at the deadline. I get it. But Anthony Seigler & Brandon Lockridge put up a combined 6 ABs today, and IMO five of them were outstanding. Murphy mentioned in the presser Lockridge saw (I think) thirty-three pitches. That's the sort of stuff the national talking heads seldom mention but can make all the difference in a game. Then Jansen & Ortiz reach base five times combined. I really think Ortiz shed a huge monkey when the deadline passed & he still had the SS job. He still gets caught in-between & at the plate looks like something south of what he turned in last season. But so, so much better.

DL Hall was a real hero today. And it seems like someones' broken digit may be feeling a little better.

Be it pitching lab, pitching coaches, scouting, personnel, minor league cross checkers---that's where much of this magic comes from. Hopefully the potential poaching from other organizations is minimized. They HAVE to be marveling at what's being done here, and how we go about it.

Just wow.

Best regular season home series in AmFam’s history…

I really liked the one where we were visited by Chicago & someone unfurled the L flag the size of a large barn. But yeah, I think this tops it.

Brewers don’t lose when Priester pitches apparently…..l.even when he doesn’t have it…..smh

I think the team has to seriously consider making priester the opener, for everyone.  Just a handful of pitches every game should be enough to ensure we never lose again!

Fortunately there are limits to the poaching on a yearly basis, and I have to believe Attanasio has a good grasp on who he needs to keep (extend/promote) and who he can do without.

Like Tampa, this organization has a deep bench. The hard part has been done, the infrastructure completed. The fun has begun.

The golden age of Brewers fandom is upon us.

I give Levering crap sometimes, but he had a great call on the radio...

I think Levering is a good radio guy and he's always called big moments really well.

He struggles on TV a bit, but that's him being forced into a role he wasn't hired for. The radio team is infinitely better with Levering and Grindle than Grindle and Maurer

Gotta head over to NSBB to bottle some Cubs tears. BRB!

Collins was called "create a player" and "some guy I never heard of" over there. That guy you never heard of is the frontrunner to be Rookie of the Year.

Any Creighton University Blue Jay grads/fans out there? Collins is the real deal out of the heartland. Love this kid!

I would love it if their front office has the same attitude w/regards to building a team. Screw the legwork & evaluating, the hell with the deep dives into someones' underlying stats & 'fit', forget about delving into a players' willingness to work, be selfless & get better. Yeah. Easier to just throw money at a problem, simply because you have it to spend. The success of an acquisition is solely based on how much attention it brings you from ESPN.

Never change. All the better for us.

Earlier in the game he said that if the other team is ahead and the Brewers get a guy on base the other team has to be hearing the theme from "Jaws".

Watching the cubs game and espn is interviewing the center fielder while the game is going on.   Who approved this.   Why the hell should I have to talk about Craig counsell job while I’m playing center field

I’m not sure what Edwin Diaz normally looks like but this was him three seconds before coming back out for the ninth. Seemed like dread or a lack of confidence.
