Disagree with Cotroneo and you. Unnecessary move. I usually think the team is savvy these things but this feels like trying to hard

Sounds like a fanbase trying to hard to make something out of nothing.  They didn't lose him.

The Yeli leadoff experiment continues. They are 1-4 since Murphy moved him to top of lineup on 9/22. At least we know Murph isn't a results merchant 🙃

On the other hand, they've been pretty bad for most of the year.

Started 21 W - 25 L, will end either 19 W - 21 L or 18 W - 22 L pending today's result.

That's 86 games bookending the season where they played to about the same level as two of this year's bigger disappointments in the Braves and Orioles with matching .466 winning percentages.

I think you can look at the pitching staffs for the first 46 and last 40 games compared to the middle 76 and come up with a fairly good explanation.

Definitely been a little bit of everything…

First 46
84 wRC+ (26th)
193 R (16th)
4.19 ERA (21st)

Middle 76
121 wRC+ (2nd)
443 R (1st)
3.28 ERA (1st)

Last 39
102 wRC+ (12th)
166 R (18th)
3.55 ERA (6th)

Biggest letdown over this last stretch has prolly been the fielding with 22 unearned these last 39 games versus only 21 unearned runs over those middle 76 games.

Batting with RISP also tells the story…93 wRC+ over the first 46, then a 135 wRC+ over the middle 76, and now an 87 wRC+ over these last 39.

Dfa of Fedde is a surprise to me. He hasn’t been horrible.

I’m guessing they hope he clears and they can bring him back next year. But something had to give with three pitchers coming back.

I tend to not complain. It just seems like a silly move to make.

But whatever in the end it doesnt matter.

Go Brew Crew end the season on a high!

So there are lots of things that concern me as we approach the post season. First of all our defense has been a little bit more leaky! But even more important to me than is the hitters are chasing pitches that they did not chase when they were winning games. That will need to change in the postseason.

Bill getting another day off before playing everyday from here until the season is over……probably a good move

Let's hope Bill play LOTS more days!

Freddy pitching at home with a chance to set Brewers all-time wins record for a season … doesn’t look playoff ready. I’m sure apologists will downplay his performance today as well as the five week mediocrity of the entire team suggesting none of this matters because we backed into the #1 Seed.

Doesn't look playoff ready after 176 innings pitched this season 🥸 ?
