Jameson Taillon has been really good since coming back from injury. I’d argue he’s been their best starter the last month and a half or so. The Brewers will have to be on their A game tomorrow if they want to win.

Yeah, its the playoffs of you're going to have to be on your A game every night.  The nice thing is you can flip that around on the Cubs with them having to face QP.

I think it would have been hilarious if we announced quintana as the starter only to pull him for priester after the first.  Only problem is you couldn't really hide him warming up.

I haven’t seen anything anywhere about when Jackson “felt it again” but my speculation is that it didn’t occur on that long foul ball in the corner to end an inning, but rather on the double play grounder that Swanson threw into left field.  Jackson had to side-step/hesitate step Busch to avoid getting tripped and that is when I believe that he probably “felt it”.  A hesitation move like that involving some quick semi-unnatural movement would do it, I would think.

But who knows?

Hey Brewers fans! Congrats on these first 2 big wins! We're a sports bar located in Chicago down the street from Wrigley Field and we are the only bar in the neighborhood whose mission is to be a welcoming place for visiting fans! For anyone making the trip from Wisconsin tomorrow, think of us as Brewers HQ in the heart of Wrigley, so come on by and say hi during our pre and post game festivities and show Wrigleyville how the Brewers get down!!

WELCOME BACK BREWERS FANS.png

I hope that this is legit, but why do I feel that any Brewers fan that steps inside will be ridiculed, abused, and maybe even tarred-and-feathered?

Sad that today’s culture has made me feel that the latter is more likely than the former.  I wish we lived in a better world….

If legit, I wish you luck and thank you for your kindness—win or lose—in today’s society.  I’ll be drinking in my living room in Arizona but I’ll maybe tip my hat to you into the ethersphere (is that a thing?)

But what if I told you in spring training that advancing to the next round was predicated on Quinn Priester?

LOL or tell any of us that our success this season would be heavily tied to Quinn Priester, Andrew Vaughn and some random dude named Caleb Durbin.

Honorable mention to Isaac Collins who was at least in the Brewers system going into this season..

Or how about that Miz would be an all star.

Caleb Durbin was in the system during spring training, so not exactly random.  Plus, he was a leading candidate for 3B (as much maligned as that decision was).

Miz's upside was also known, but maybe that is earlier than most expected.

Priester and Vaughn have to be the surprises of the season. Even after trading for them, people wouldn't have thought they would've had much impact on the season other than keeping a spot warm for someone to return from injury.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

A little less anxious for this game being up 2-0 but still not much room for error. Can recall taking care of Arizona at home pretty easily in the NLDS and then Arizona scored a bunch of runs at home forcing a stressful game 5 that made Nyjer Morgan a hero.

Over and under is 6.5 runs I believe for game 3. Wind definitely blowing in if that’s the case.

Go Brewers!!!

Forecasted at 8-9 MPH blowing in.  Not exactly a gale.

I like the over (again).

Yes, I know the original post said "in spring training" but in my mind I'm thinking before the season, so off season, prior to the Devin Williams trade.

After that catch in left field, I thought it looked like he hopped a couple times, like it bothered him, though it could have just been him hopping. He was definitely limping after that ground ball when he headed to second.

"This series is painful but it is kinda funny to see how one sided the hatred is. Like they despise us and we dont really care about them. Good for them"

COPE MUCH?!?!?  🥰

Nonsense. We have been living rent-free there for about 5 years. Seems at odds with this:

"I hate the Brewers. This is not like a cheesehead football situation where I hate the Packers, but I love Aaron Rodgers. No, no, no, no. This is hateful. The Brewers have reached almost Cardinals stature in terms of being hated in Chicago. The Brewers are completely hateable."

Well, this is about the least stressful NLDS game one can imagine, Game 3 while up 2-0. Still, it's going to be a stressfest. Playoff baseball, where every game, sometimes every inning is its own novel.

I really have no idea what to expect. Feels like we're due a nailbiter determined by BABIP luck. I'll be curious to see how Murph manages the bullpen after heavy usage Monday and a game tomorrow. If the Cubs are all hands on deck, I think we should be most hands on deck.

I'd play it like this:

Keep Ashby out of this one. If you need a lefty, it's Gasser/Koenig. Let Mis rest too, and hold Megill/Uribe for the 8th-9th, maybe 7th depending on game situation.

Ideally, if you lose, you want to be able to roll with Ashby, Mis, and the max you can get from Megill and Uribe in Game 4. Those four plus Mears and Quintana (or just Freddy), and you feel in okay shape.

Logging off until after the game. Let's keep this mojo going!!

Collins start today?  Even if JC can play.

I think JC will play unless hammy got worse.

Well I was thinking does the hammy concern keep JC in LF only.  Still would like Collins in there some over Perkins.

This "not stressful" game will get stressful fast. 2-0 is really nothing. Teams come back from that in 7 gamers all the time. 2-1 playing a game in Wrigley is not a far leap to a Game 5, which I absolutely want no part of. Just TCB tonight and put them down.

Collins has sucked since about August.  But Perkins 3 for 8 this post season.

Brewers will be dealing with this for rest of the season I’m afraid

I keep going back and fourth on if Pat should play Collins tonight to give Chourio some rest and get him ready to play the Dodgers (or Phillies if they get it together). We really need him in that series.
Either you have a "meh" outfielder out there OR every time they hit it to left, we have to hold our breath and hope Chourio doesn't run too hard to the ball.
