The Brewers faced Yoshinobu twice this season. In 50 plate appearances, they posted a measly .589 OPS against him. We will not speak of what happened when they faced him in last year's NLCS. First person to bring it up gets the ban hammer.

I am liking the 4 pm start because that is right after I get out of work. However you cant tell me that the league couldn't have made this like 5:30 and maximized TV viewership a bit better. The Dodger fans likely need to take a halfday from work to watch.

I have a feeling we are going to have a huge game from either Pratt, Joey, or Hamilton if he starts. Henderson should have a good shot at a great game tonight, I am worried about Shohei tonight, not sure why just a bad vibe.

My wife was very amused with Ohtani's batting stance, which seemed more awkward than in the past. She compared it to 'dance frames' from Dirty Dancing. Which was pretty accurate

Before this series started, I don’t think anyone would have been upset if you said we were going to LA tied 1-1.

But I remember 2011 and 2018 all too well. We split the first two games and neither time did it fare well in the end.

I am greedy, I want Game 2. The heartbreaking Game 2 result in 2018 was the difference in that series.

I would guess the Dodgers approach will look different this afternoon, looking to do damage on nearly every swing. I'm sure they'll be on the Traject all day, honing in on Henderson's changeup. Henderson's command will be crucial, and I think it would be wise for him to throw a few unconventional pitches/locations to try and keep them guessing.

But I have so much confidence in our budding Maddux to do just that.

C'mon man, it's California, I doubt half the Dodgers fans even work...

I hope the Brewers have also spent a little time on the Trajekt machine looking at Yamamoto.

100% More doubles and HR swings today

A lot of good a bunch of opposite field singles did yesterday.

Maybe things are different for the Dodgers with their revenue streams, but teams don't typically travel with the Trajekt machines because they are like 1,500 pounds and very difficult to move once installed.

Believe there was a story this postseason about the Yankees going over to their nearby spring training complex to use the Trajekt they had there before the games in Tampa (to no avail).

Interesting and fair. I guess where would the Dodgers install it? They probably could purchase Marquette high school.

If you're going to the game today (or to any Brewers playoff game), there's a super-fast way to get into stadium:  use the right field gate (Potawatomi gate).

Because there's no parking lots near it, the right field gate's always got the shortest lines, but since they started construction up the first base line the difference is ridiculous.  Last night the lines at the main gates were the longest I've ever seen -- at least half an hour long.

We went to the right field gate and walked straight in.

I’m sure those times are designed to minimize overlap between the two LCS series..

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I too, used the right field gate and walked right in. However, last night I parked across the street and walked over on the bridge. Today, I have preferred parking and will be coming in from the home plate side. I don't think you can get to the RF gate unless you walk the long way around the stadium, due to the construction gates on the first base side. Any idea if that is true?

I got re-routed off of the interstate at Lake Mills due to an accident and it took me forty minutes longer to get to the stadium. I was probably as tense in that traffic as I was during the game. Fortunately I'm a dweeb who likes to be in the stadium 90 minutes early, so I still got there about an hour before.

This is pretty much a must-win game for the Dodgers. They would need 2/3 in LA just to get the series back to MKE if they lose.

The narrative writes itself if they lose — too old, too injured, overpaid.

If the Brewers win this one, they are guaranteed more home games (either in this series or the next) and they have some margin for error to drop a game like they did in SD.

Heh, solid, I'm a nerd, too.

Yeah, you can walk around the construction even though it doesn't look or feel like you can (and almost nobody does).  It seems like the construction prevents walking all the way around the stadium, but it doesn't.  Stick with it till you hit the promised land.  :)

Thank you for bringing this game back into my memory...I seem to recall a shaky Jeffress blowing it late. He looked toast in the post season that year.

I'm solidly in the we don't need to win today, but I really want to. On any given night things might not work, but mentally they are ready to just keep coming right back. They avoided the big losing streaks this year and had multiple exhausting 3 week parts of the schedule, so they are ready. The LA guys already have their rings and contracts...

This really could be their last golden opportunity to win a World Series before their advantage comes crashing down. Sure there may be a buffer before hard competitive balance comes into play, but they will start having to plan for it and their roster is getting old in many areas.

They are arguably the team that would be hurt most by no 2027 season. That roster is not one you want to just age a year.

I feel like today's game is just as big as yesterday's. I believe the Brewers will be able to win one in LA. Coming back to Milwaukee up 3-2 will feel a lot different than down 3-2. I have a lot of confidence in Henderson. To me, he feels like a guy who can excel in the playoffs. Keep guys off balance, mixing pitches and locations.

Yeli, Sal, and Bunty in. Vaughn, Lara, and Joey O out. Loading up lefties against Yamamoto.

The Dodgers have also shuffled their lineup. Teoscar Hernández is hitting third, Will Smith fifth. Tommy Edman is starting at second and hitting ninth.

I can imagine a team hiring a couple of semis with the machine set up inside, ready to go. That seems like a good investment when so much is at stake.
