What I never would have believed was that the Brewers would be the team in the World Series with the higher payroll.

Does this World Series actually give us baseball in 2027?

I swear Interpol wrote this song about this series.

"How are things on the west coast?"

"Now strut those shoes" - has to be referring to Rojas's spikes.

Amongst other lines that are very fitting.

It's easy to hate that team given the payroll & all the success, but there really seems to be a lot of first-rate people in that clubhouse, starting with Dave Roberts.

Kiké Hernández hopes the Brewers win the World Series after eliminating the Dodgers, saying they are "almost playing perfect baseball."

I've been pretty numb about it. I've been busy with other things, too, so I haven't had the time to really bask in the moment(s). But I did want to thank the community here, firstly. Because the fans are truly the lifeblood of sports, especially when the teams come to represent the communities wherein they reside.

I understand when folks prefer to talk about their team using they, rather than we, but I contest that notion heartily. Without the fans, these guys are just glorified beer-league softball players playing a game for fun.

WE are going to the World Series. And best of all, those guys in the lockerroom believe that, too. Captain Yelich understands why what they do matter. He knows that he wants to bring joy to the people of Milwaukee and Wisconsin, and Brewer fans everywhere. That's his purpose. That's the team's purpose. Not just to win a World Series for themselves, but for their families, and their friends, and their fans. To bring joy and pride to all of those rooting for them to succeed. For all of those that allow him to live out his dreams.

This has been an incredible story, going back as far as you want, whether your story is about the last 4 games, or the last 9,444 games. What a series. What a team! What a franchise! What a fanbase!

Wonder if having to play cold weather games in Cleveland would help us or hurt us.

I think it depends on the person, but for some reason pitchers seem to be affected little bit more.  So guess it's almost equal for both teams.  I thought the same thing in football but it never seemed to help the Packers.

Hat tip to Denver International Airport and Delta for free wifi.  And to me for sticking with YouTube TV.  Was able to watch the first 2 innings before boarding the plane and then the rest of the game on the plane.  Since I record all Brewers games YouTube TV allows me to start watching anywhere and skip through not only commercials but also between batters and pitches so that I could get caught up.

Game finished about 5 or so minutes before I had to shut down the laptop for preparation for landing.

I feel like it's gotta hurt. We rely on our BP arms, that dominant power pitching... and I'm watching Espino in Gm4 and he looked good, but not great. If he's supposed to be... roughly equal to Uribe in terms of stuff, I didn't see it.

He was throwing 97 and just didn't look that sharp to me... and I don't think it's just because we have so many better arms. I think the cold hurts. It'st a bit hard to see Ashby going up and down 3 times out of the pen.

It's also going to be maybe 50, so... it's not like they'll be pitching through flurries, but I think indoors or California were two climates more conducive to our pitching.

The Brewers are the best team in baseball.  They are certainly better than the Cleveland baseball team.  Poor weather can be an equalizer, or as you say, an advantage one way or another.  The Brewers dont need that, they already have an advantage by being the best team.  It would be terrible to give away a WS game on some weather fluke.  Also, I have game 4 tickets in Tampa, f' Cleveland.

Playing Cleveland would really add to the simulation theory. The Uecker storyline writes itself. Are we going to win the World Series on a walkoff bunt?

The legend of David Hamilton continues to grow.....
