The MLB Network post-game show is/was great, and has been all playoffs.

Just wanted to say congrats fellow Brewers fans. A lot of time has been spent here and elsewhere discussing Brewers baseball and I have a lot of respect for the people that make these forums great. Tip of the cap my friends. Go Brewers.

I'm sitting on the other side of the world and can't put in words how happy I am.

I've never felt so close and far from home at the same time.

We won the last game of the season.

WE ARE CHAMPIONS.

Went to bed right after the trophy presentation and had to get up early for work.

Props to the Rays. They're a class organization and you could see why they were the class of what ultimately was a down year for the AL. They gave us everything we could handle.

1982 has been doing such heavy lifting for this franchise for decades at this point. The only time of note the franchise made a deep playoff run and got within a game of winning it all, but it was still always celebrating a pennant and a second place finish. They even had some good seasons in '87 and '92 but couldn't make the playoffs because of division winners only making it back then. Watching someone like Paul leave after '92 and have to go to Toronto to win a ring in '93 was always a little bitter sweet.

'82 can now finally be rightfully retired as the greatest moment in franchise history.

What more can be said about this team? This has pretty much capped the best decade in franchise history. Playoffs eight out of the last 9 seasons. 4 straight division titles, three NLCS appearances, and now a long awaited world championship.

Props to Selig for getting Miller Park built so they'd have a proper venue to host a World Series. Props to an owner in Attanasio who was truly invested in this team, city, and state.

Stearns may have laid some of the ground work, but this wall all Murphy and Arnold getting us to this point.

After the Bucks won the title in '21, there was talk of a potential dynasty and the sky's the limit. It's easy to forget how hard it is to get to this stage let alone win it all. Fives years later, Giannis is down in south beach and the Bucks arenow beginning what's probably gonna be 5+ year rebuild.

I've been fortunate enough to be alive to see the Packers win two Super Bowls, and NBA title, and now a World Series title.

I think it's easy to forget how difficult it is to even get to this point in professional sports let alone win it all. It's why it's so damn important when you're here, you savor these moments when you win it all.

It's safe to say we're probably going to be a competitive team for the foreseeable future, but with everything pending in baseball with the lockout, who knows what the future holds? At least this can never be taken away from us. For one magical season and playoff run, the Brewers can say they were World Champions.

Edit: I'm also $137 poorer after buying the tshirt and two hats, but SO worth it!

Dad Bod Megill holding the World Series trophy in one arm, tilting his head back, and pouring champagne in his mouth. That's an image I'll cherish!

Did anyone else catch of Megill's dad gut reveal for just a half second during his on field interview?

Indescribable feeling.

I’m probably going to spend the whole day surfing for reaction and highlight videos while I try to decide how early I have to leave tomorrow morning to get to the parade.

I’ll also be falling asleep a few times to make up for what I’ve lost the last few nights.

No concerns about next year. After several decades of waiting THIS IS NEXT YEAR.

I’m so happy. Didn’t sleep well last night. I think it was Kugler who said that every player on the roster had a moment and that is pretty much true. I don’t get hung up on MVP awards, or all-star snubs. I was glad that Contreras was the MVP, but they could have given it to Chourio, Ashby, or Pratt and it would have been fine. I also thought that Turang getting the final out was poetic justice for his exemplary play. I had zero anxiety as it was rolling toward him.

just so happy

Too bad it was on the road but it sure didn't sound like it during the final out

During the celebration it look like you could even try to fit all the fans on the field level of the stadium if you tried.

I am 38, I would estimate I have watched or listened to nearly 4000 games to get here. On top of that countless 1000's of hours researching players, news around the league, and reading articles. It is so amazing to be the champs and knowing what other fans of the Brewers have gone through to get here. Best fans, best staff, and best players. So happy, congrats to all the awesome Brewer fans around the world and especially here on this forum. Brewers forever baby

Just shy of 40 I have seen the Packers win twice, and now both the Bucks and Brewers. I left childhood truly believing I would never see and NBA or MLB championship in MKE. I remember firing off a bunch of texts after 2018 Game 7 of the NLCS, the stars aligned and we blew it, that was it, we were never going to be back there for generations. I was nearly out of college the first time we made the playoffs, and I remember hitting the bars the night we clinched as though it was tonight. Totally content losing to Philly, it was the biggest deal ever just to get there.

Hi, I'm the guy who made the Brooks Kieschnick Real Ultimate Power webpage that was referenced in that "Can Bill Hall Pitch?" thread.  Been lurking for ... a couple decades now, i suppose.  Thought maybe this was the right time to create an account and express gratitude to all the sickos that have provided so much value on these boards, over all those years.  You all deserve this, we all deserve this.

Welcome!

This will be interesting next year. Lots of people wanted Lara over Sal. We don’t win the series without Sal.

Hmm. I don’t necessarily agree, not taking anything away from Sal but just because this was such a “team” effort and team WS, and it was such a dominating effort, that I don’t know that there’s any one guy you could take and replace him with next man up and lose a series that you won in 4-5 games. Maybe Ashby, or Contreras.

With that said, I agree that Sal was a higr part of this and I don’t know that I’d trade him in the offseason as I’ve suggested in the path. They did sign Lara and he is part of this team’s future. But for 2027, why not have both, and keep the depth. Frelick can be the default guy against righties in right and Lara I’m sure will get plenty of ABs over the year against lefties, and as a defensive replacement and replacement for when guys inevitably hit the IL.

Maybe the days of having to limp along with guys like Greg Jones and Blake Perkins for awhile are over.
