We've come a long way from Jim Powell telling us how great Nashville was in 2004.

I was sitting in the Bucket Head Brigade sections in those days!

When we made it to the World Series, I created the thread titled "What does making the World Series mean to you?" I don't need to make a companion thread this time. We all know. It means everything. All day, I've been thinking about my dad. I didn't have much in common with him growing up, but we had the Brewers. He took me to games, and I passionately followed the team. He's been gone since 2017, which makes tonight so bittersweet. But I'm so thankful, because without him, I don't know how much I would love baseball.

So awesome to finally see the MLB Championship earned by our team. The drought is over. Being in the Internet Age has made it so much easier to follow the Brewers out-of-state. Radio broadcast streaming instead of maybe catching bits of WTMJ via a staticky long-distance radio antenna. The old Fastball message boards back in college during the late-90s, then Brewerfan.net, and now BrewerFanatic created an online community.

It’s been excellent being part of the dedicated fan base, especially these last several seasons. But another World Series before 44 more years go by would be great!

My dad is alive, but suffering from Parkinson's and old age.  But he took me.to my first game in 82.  And he is a great dad, but nit exactly.warm as fuzzy with us.  But we always talked sports. Hes in his 80's and suffering.  He didnt know the Brewers were in the WS until I told him a few days ago.  But he watched yesterday because I was there and we watched the 82 series together.  Ill forever remember watching  with him the Angels  series and Mike Caldwell's 10-0 game 1 WS shutout, and losing Game 7.  Baseball is America's pastime.

× my old-fashioned count is contributing to my lack of coherence.  But I hope my point came across, cherish this and your family memories.

Out here in our Phoenix neighborhood, there were fireworks after the final out!

This season is unforgettable. Brewers fans, families, players, office, coaches have real class. More trophies to come…

When I chose the Brewers as my team in '81, my dad who was a baseball card collector found a card collector in Milwaukee who would hook us up with Brewers cards. My dad would be so happy tonight God rest his soul, He became a Brewers fan because of me.

I can say this with complete satisfaction. It's time to retire our 1982 nostalgia. Time to pass the baton and glory in this team...until the next one.

Well, we don't need to pass on the nostalgia. We 'need' to reframe it. Put that 82 team in its rightful place: a GREAT Brewers team that fell short after losing Fingers to injury 😊 Nobody can tell me Rollie's injury didn't have a devastating impact. AND, that's just fine now. We had a memorable season in 1982. We waited an awful long time. BUT, we built a dynasty of excellence. Hopefully, that includes lifting more trophies.

Cooper while being interviewed by Lane Grindle: Lane: "Is this the best Fanta you've ever had?" Coop: "I don't know, but it's definitely up there". All while he's having beer poured on him.

Its all gone.  All the critisims, all the "they'll never get over the hump".  All the "where's your ring" stuff.  All of it is gone.
