The PWHL is probably the closest Milwaukee will get for a professional hockey team.  The media market though seems to be the biggest stopper for Milwaukee.

One thing Milwaukee has an advantage over Chicago is that the Fiserv Forum only has the Bucks and Marquette.  While Chicago has the Blackhawks and Bulls.  Chicago would have to build a new arena for a PWHL team and I don’t think that will happen.

Still a pipe dream for Milwaukee to receive a professional hockey team.

I’ve gone to a few PWHL games in Seattle. The quality of play is pretty good. Attendance has been higher than I thought it would be, they are consistently getting >15,000 lately. There doesn’t seem to be much overlap with the NHL fanbase.

Would have been nice if the game was a little closer to attend live but looking forward to Saturday. Denver looking to continue their current trend of winning a championship every other year.

For those of us who are late bandwagon jumpers watching our first game of the season tonight, what's the crash course in what to watch for / who to know with this Badgers team?

Badgers were one of the hottest teams in college hockey going into the Christmas break. After the break they have had a number of injuries to key positions, goal tender, defensemen and center.

The goaltending has been suspect throughout the year with a freshman who was coming off shoulder surgery, but he’s come back looking healthy and been pretty good as of late. He needs to be huge today.

Badgers are an older, experienced team that can skate with Denver. Denver is one of the top programs in college hockey in this century and their goaltending is the number one reason why they are playing today.

It will be a tough matchup today, Denver is favored, but the Badgers have a shot if they can get another great performance from the goalie and find a way to put a couple goals in the net.

I wish Bucky would have tried to camp out front a little more to shield the view of the goalie.

Denver's goalie was lights out.  It was great to see Bucky back in the championship again.  Thank you Coach Hastings!

Let the portal haul commence. Looks like UW hockey is retooling for a run next year depending on who is returning.

Edit: Apparently Herrington is signing with Penn State now.

Also Christian Fitzgerald signed with the Dallas Stars AHL affiliate.

That Denver goalie did not lose a single regulation game all season. Incredible run.

Also, Dexheimer is signing with the Wild it would appear. Epic.

Good for Blake. Hurts for Bucky

Bummer for Bucky.  I wasn't thinking he was going to sign.

Finley signed today too - though, we all knew that was going to happen.
