This one shall be interesting with Davies. Can he keep the ball in the park in Colorado?
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Hmm... might this be a good series to start Moose at short?

How very Mark Kotsay of you...

Yeah, let's start a guy with no MLB experience at a key position on the infield during the most important series of the season.

Great idea.

Let's put Hiura in CF too. Get some better offense out there.

Heard it was just cramping for Thames yesterday, so he might play.
Remember what Yoda said:

Hey, I made the suggestion yesterday, and Arcia went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Perhaps we get another big day.

Moose out again.......hope he is ok. Thames is in there again when people assumed he wouldn't be.......as per usual.

Looks like they are saving Woody.......either for 163 or the WC

It's odd they haven't tried to build up Woodruff's pitch count, only 38 his first 2 starts back I think. But I imagine with the bullpen resurgence the plan will be just like last postseason. I just thought Woodruff's starts would be the exception.

The plan for his second start was to go 3 innings, but he was feeling fatigued so Counsell decided to pull him after just the 2 IP. That's likely why Jackson pitched the third inning in that game and Gio didn't come in till the 4th since the plan to start the game was for him to enter in the 4th and they needed to allow him ample time to prepare.

It will be interesting to see when he is used. Pitch him on Sunday if it means a chance to tie/win division? Division tie breaker? Wild card game?

I think if they have the chance to win the division outright on Sunday he will pitch. I don't think there's any way he's not pitching in a division tie breaker game if he's rested.

Brewers could use some runs today.

Davies for 4, Suter for 3, then hopefully they can avoid using Hader/Pomeranz. Peralta/Jackson/Claudio should be good to go.

If Hader/Pomeranz have to pitch today, they'll definitely be down tomorrow.

It would suck so badly to be a Rockies fan. They just can't have a good pitching staff.
