Yeah the last call was bad but can the complaining about the umpiring that we see day after day just end. The umps are not why we lost 2 out of 3 to a bad team with our three best starters going.

He drew a walk.

I wasn’t done with my post because this site often resets.

I had to add the second sentence later.  I was referring to the 3-1 pitch that he swung out of his shoes chasing.

Yelich was completely fooled on every swing and miss in that at-bat.

Counsell seriously needs to sit him down for several games. If that means bench him, so be it. Craig really seems to be out of sync with his team. He hasn’t made a good decision for a while now.

Was just about to say if our two best hitters just put the bat on their shoulder they likely have bases loaded 1 out.   But then that last call happened and you never know.      Yelichs though were so far in the dirt CB wouldn't have mattered

Could somebody tell these guys that nobody cares about their cribbage game?

Both TV and road Radio groups are just awful at what they do…. trying yo be funny and dropping cultural references

Will stop complaining about the umpires when you stop complaining about the Brewers.  Deal?

To anyone wondering why Counsell didn't leave the dugout: managers have virtually zero ability to judge horizontal location from the dugout.

It was the last out of the game. Absolutely nothing is accomplished by getting out there and berating the umpire. That conversation can happen back in the clubhouse with the team.

The yankees have decided to start playing good baseball and just swept the Astros last weekend. Start scoreboard watching the other wild card contenders because this division is slipping away fast.

Every job I’ve ever worked in my life, when someone plans on not coming back at a certain time in the future, they start to coast and mail in their performance. That has to be what Counsell is doing. You don’t have a heartbeat if you just turn around and walk in the dugout after that call. All his bad managing lately plus todays game really convinces me he’s not gonna sign a new contract.

How long is awhile? The last eight games where we went 4-4?

Before that they won nine in a row.

Their 20-12 record since August is 6th best in MLB as is their 34-23 record since July.

You really don’t think they have anyone looking at the same live pitch tracking we do? Ok…I’ve seen hundred of times managers jump out of the dugout when the game ends….? Dude was bad all game with half his calls too.

Well, is it too much to ask the offense to score more than 3 runs against crap pitching?

It often is.

But what's the point? It's not as if the umpire is going to reverse the call. If Counsell needs to have a conversation with the team, that can happen in the clubhouse.

I agree it really makes no difference. How about scoring more than one run the last 8 innings against trash pitching.

How does Craig not even go get in Buckners face!?!?!?!?!?

The game is over. What's he supposed to accomplish?

The point is to stand up for your guys. They're hanging on by a thread right now. Division lead will probably be down to a game by tomorrow night.

Anything that could galvanize them is worth a shot.

.Learning how to score some runs against bad pitching would help a lot more than complaiing about the umpires.
