What if I liked Rob Deer?

Then your grandfather loved Ted Klusewski.

Great having BA back on the play by play the last 2 days and sounds like he will be in Cincy as well…….👍

Where has Rock been this week?

Always nice to complete a series win with a quick, stress free win.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a hitter turn around like he k ether was out in a curveball out of the zone……..lol

Ump probably called out the strike before he signaled it.

The way this ump called the last two innings he might have called it while the pitch was halfway to the plate.

He was on the radio with the Milwaukee guys and said he gets a few series off each season and this was it.

If that's what Ashby can bring and if they can figure out what's up with Hudson's velo and get him back to form it would open up a lot of playoff options.

Nice work putting the breaks on any Cubs panic. Good 👍

The Cubs still have 1.0% odds of winning the NL Central...I was getter pretty nervous when they had that up to like 1.3% the other day.

This is what they envisioned when they got Civale. Six or seven innings of old-man ball, staying one step ahead of the hitters, commanding all of his multiple pitches. Kinda resembled a RH Kershaw today.

I've heard the great things about Ashby in recent weeks from the minor-league guys, but unfortunately wasn't able to see him work in Oakland on Sunday. I'll tell you what---the locating he did today, the velo, that was some eye-opening stuff. Even with the generous strike zone in the 9th, those were 2-strike pitches. He put both of those right where you would want him to. Exciting to see.

You know how you blow up a balloon as a kid, get it real big, then let the air out? PLPLPLPLPLPLPLLLLLLL! That's Hoskins ABs recently. From the neck up, he's actually doing some good things to get back in the count, or get ahead in the count. Then he gets a pitch to hit, and PLPLPLPLLLLLL!!! Frustrating.

If Civale can pitch like he did today with some regularity down the stretch, he might force the Brewers to tender him a contract for ‘25

I know it's only been 2 appearances but do we think Ashby could be back in the rotation next year or is to perfect for the multi-inning Bryse Wilson role?

Peralta, Rea, Myers, Woody, Civale Ashby and Hall as long men/6th starter.

I would assume they would at least try and see if he can get stretched out during spring, and still be effective now that he has found it again.
