I mean he has a long ways to go before top 5 of all time. Even after his initial contract with the Brewers is up he is going to need some great years.

Chourio has always been ready for the big moment.

These MLB pitchers throwing him high outside heaters in crucial spots clearly haven't watched the LLWS tape! Amazing he's been hitting oppo bombs in clutch moments since Age 13. Never change, Jackson!

Would be nice to get a nice comfortable playoff W for a change. No stress. No errors. Just do our thing.

We've been better against Quintana lately right? He hasn't owned us as much recently it seems. Would love to see Haase in there but I don't think it happens.

He hasn't been as good but I thought he looked extremely good against us last week. He had his season high in strikeouts in fewer than 5 IP. He gave up 2 ER but he looked really good for the most part.

Wonder if we'll get lucky and this will be the day that Hoskins decides to show up.

Would be awesome if Ortiz, Adames, Contreras, Hoskins, Sanchez showed up tonight. For the most part that group has been really bad this series.

Would also be nice to celebrate a postseason series victory at Am Fam for a change. We've had to watch quite a few teams celebrate here our expense over the years. Phillies in 08, Cardinals in 11, Dodgers in 18, Dbacks last year. Only once has Am Fam been home to a Brewers series clinch, and that's the Nyjer Morgan walkoff game.

That being said, if experience has taught us anything as Brewers fans it's that the baseball gods are inherently cruel and aren't going to make it easy on us even if we win.

If we're going to win, I think it's going to be because of a veteran or two showing up after the youngsters have been carrying us the last couple days.

I'm actually excited to see Myers out there tonight.  I love his bulldog mentality and despite his late season (minor) fade, I have a feeling he will shine in the bright lights tonight.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

As a Milwaukee native living in NYC -- please, Brewers, please.

I (and we) have been waiting so long. Let's do this thing.

It could be anybody this year ... so why not us?

I'd love to get back to taking walks, creating chaos on the basepaths, and getting that key hit to drive in a couple.

I would've gone with Peterson were I the Mets.

I know it's 3 days rest, but he's been fantastic 8 of his last 10 starts.

I have a good feeling about this.

Looks like tonight is going to be a sellout. Only special section tickets remaining.

Selling tickets for $10 seems to be helping.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Hoskins has seen a TON of Quintana. I posted the numbers earlier. The six walks made my eyes bug out. Hopefully he is patient and hits it in the air.

Like everyone, I have no idea what happens tonight. Deep down, my hope is immense, but not enough to outweigh my self-protective instinct to mentally prepare for the end tonight.

Last night was a beautiful thing. I'm so glad we all got that moment. All I can do is hope for one more tonight, hopefully with a little (or a lot) less drama.

Here's my only ask: If this team goes down, may it be because the Mets were just better. No errors. No outsized luck. Let's give it our cleanest game and make every AB tough and the results will be the results. Rickie, if you can, conjour the ghost of Tony Plush, and let's get movin' on!

So it comes down to us facing Quintana for the 2,638th time (I looked it up😁). If he's on it'll be a challenge as he gets you on the swinging at balls/taking strikes teeter-totter. One thing to look for--if we take a few close ones early @ they're called balls, expect the 3rd base dugout to get on the HP umpire immediately. Maybe not at a Wainwright/Molina level------well, yeah, maybe that bad. If he does get his share of calls, KEEP OFF the occasional inside fastball as it's probably not a strike.

Also let's watch Lindor. Is the back flaring up? A couple low throws yesterday with Alonso bailing him out, and on the INF hit from Sanchez that was a slow man going down the line. You'd expect him to at least scramble up & try to make a throw. He did neither.

We gave them several runs early in both games. That has to stop & I think it will. Not talking about the good ABs NY put up; they had several. Talking about leadoff walks & appearing as if PFP was shunned in March.

It's a moot point b/c I doubt they're considering it, but I don't think Quintana would be an especially good match for Haase with all the offspeed stuff.

Maybe it's because like @Brewcrew82 I follow the entire system, but he's right. This is a really smart, well-put together organization from bottom to top, and I look ahead with appropriate optimism, regardless of what happens tonite.

But let's, you know, win.

Not that it was lucky per se, but if I had to commemorate the 1st two games it would be a statue of Brice Turang hustling far to his left & still coming about 8 inches short of an opposite-field ground ball to RF.

Myers is kind of interesting in a playoff SP scenario.  I was just reviewing his splits and found that his first 25 pitches and pitches 51-75 come in around league average.  But pitches 26-50 are outstanding.  Once he gets over 75 pitches, his results start going south.

That 75 pitch range gets him into the 4th inning pretty easily.

And true to form, his one outing against the Mets resulted in 4IP, 0R, 1H, and 5Ks.

Expect a strong 4IP (maybe 5 if he looks great) out of him and then the BP after that.
