What's the "(cont'd.)" part?

There seems to be more tweets being moved to more of a series of tweets -- more like a "thread."  I think it is because the maximum size of a tweet is 280 characters(?).

The (cont'd) part is:

I know, I'm overthinking it.

What's the down and distance? What's the score?  What quarter are we in and how much time is left on the clock?...shoot play clock is running down call a timeout!  Hope Arnold can at least get some base hits, but I'll take a homer or 2 as well.

Remember what Yoda said:

Does anyone have any strong predictions for Brewers activity at the Winter meetings?

I'm assuming we will sign the usual 2-4 "invite to spring training" guys. I'm sure Arnold has another surprise 'no name bullpen signing that will end up pitching big innings for us' up his sleeve..

Yeah, I tried looking for that and couldn't find anything for some reason. I suspected a new feature that demands my signing up for X in order to see non-embedded tweets.

If 10 teams are in on Williams, Arnold should strike and get the best deal he can. Overall its been an uneventful week like most of the recent ones.

Rule V is at 1pm, I would hope brewers pass and I'd be shocked if they lost anyone.

didn't see that, guess I won't be shocked :)

Honestly, I simply can not believe we didn't protect Smith.  Instead, we will probably go out at the 2025 trade deadline and deal some prospects for yet another failure relief pitcher.

Smith should have been on the 40, end of story.

The White Sox will make Brewers prospect Shane Smith the first pick in Wednesday’s Rule 5 draft, MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo reports.

Smith, a Wake Forest product, had a 3.04 ERA and a 113/29 K/BB in 94 1/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A last season. Rule 5 picks are often traded after being picked, so it’s not clear yet that Smith will be remaining with the White Sox. If he does, though, he’d likely have a very good shot of claiming a bullpen spot in the spring.

Let all the interested teams know of the other teams' interest and ask each team to make their best offer. Should come away with a pretty nice haul, especially considering the teams on the list.

Just keep going for it on 4th down!

With this leaking before the pick, is there any chance the Brewers could be working on trading Smith instead of allowing him to be selected? If he’s going 1st overall in the Rule 5, you’d have to think they could get greater than the $100k they’d get from the White Sox in a trade, especially given that the acquiring team then doesn’t have to have him in the majors for the full season.

Based off of Rule 5 history the likelihood is high he gets returned to us at some point this year. A non top 30 prospect ... I get the annoyance of losing him but my guess is we are simply loaning him to someone else to use for a few months for $50k.
