Bill Schroeder: “If you think about it, the Brewers would have rather had Vaughn have been rung up on strikes than hit into a double play.”

Thanks for that hard hitting rock solid analysis, Rock.

gotta blow this one open this inning, or I don't like how this game would be feeling

I don’t like how this game is feeling.

Its hard to expect the Brewers to score again and I don’t trust Ashby

Bases loaded, no outs, playing at home … zero runs

We deserve to lose

Really? You realize the Brewers are winning?

Man, I swear the Brewers offense will let them down in October again.   Watching the top of the order struggle like this is crazy infuriating.

There is no trade or trades that will help the Brewers win the World Series in 2026. Not sure we can get past Los Angeles. I fear we trade away several top prospects & get bumped out of the playoffs by a hot NL team early. Then we miss the opportunity to enjoy the young players in the future. Our best bet it to keep those prospects, play out this season, & prepare for a lengthy run of success - including our first World Series win - once this young pitching staff matures.

What do you think the Brewers win percentage is being up one run going into the 7th?

at $7M already this year... I think Vaughn may become a non-tender candidate for next year.   No way do I want to pay $10 million for a part-time streaky hitter who can't play defense other than 1B.

That’s a tough one. Bauers is a free agent, and if someone wants to show him the money, I expect he will take it. Vaughn isn’t the greatest, but it’s a solid bat and I think $10M doesn’t buy you much these days.

I think Vaughn might be back one more year as a bridge to a higher end prospect like Adams, Burke, Adamczewski, or Fischer. I expect one of them to emerge as the future guy eventually but none may be ready to completely take over next season.

Step away from the keyboard, you sound way too rational to be in the IGT.

It's not like the Dodgers are perfect either. They have a giant hole in LF, Tucker has been mediocre in RF, they get almost no offense at catcher, and their bullpen is just average again.

Obviously they are at the top of the league in many areas, but I'm just saying they have a 3-5 player deadline wish list as well.

There's the Joey-Yelich combo again, just like we drew it up.

IGT in shambles.

Who are you and what have you done with Joey Ortiz?

I don't know, but don't come back with him.  Lock the door.

IMO, whoever hits well in a given day should be at the top of the lineup.  Those who didn't should have been at the bottom.  If the manager can't predict that accurately he should be bashed repeatedly

Ortiz might have a 900 OPS for July

I forgot that people aren’t allowed to have feelings.

We’re all supposed to be robots commanded by THE NUMBERS.

Maybe you are AI.

Or maybe you should have a talk with the manager who has been saying that the Brewers haven’t been playing well.

Welcome to the IGT ... the place where doom and gloom rule the day.

Oh I realize what the game threads are. A few of try to be reasonable and not constantly negative.

I haven't seen Adamczewski being used at 1B,  he was moved to the OF full time though.

Funny when people cut down the IGT threads, yet continue to come back, read, and even reply.

People who can't handle it here really should stay away.  This place isn't going to change because a couple high and mighty posters don't like the tone these threads often take.

IGT is actually a really positive experience. Just need the brewers to be up by about 7 runs

You are absolutely allowed to have your feelings. I feel good leading by one in the 7th inning. You don’t. I prefer to have my feelings guided analytics.
