I think the fans are going to need a travel day more than the brewers do tomorrow.

I’m going to spend my off day attending a nice, relaxing, exhibition, college basketball game.

How are they like all the same age?

Damn, give her at least a few months to breathe and raise the one she just birthed.

I think the older ones might be his grandkids…….lol

Honestly that walk off against Mason Miller has blessed me with a lot of confidence in this team. Don’t get me wrong, I still get anxious like every other diehard, but I still felt optimistic after the top of the first.

Stealing a scoreless inning from May against the top of their order felt huge to me in the moment and it cleared a realistic path to our A bullpen holding them scoreless the rest of the way.

Felt like another game which we clearly outplayed our opponent, but weren’t quite able to deliver the dagger. I think we will have one of those in our future before this thing is done.

we just absolutely chewed up Rasmussen. Very similar feeling to the Yamamoto match up

I kinda think this was the Rays best punch and we took it head on but recovered.

Pretty dumb, I’d imagine. Lotta series left, but I’ve lost a ton of respect for Cash and the Rays coaching staff so far this series. Testing Chourio’s arm was moronic and their bullpen usage so far has been headscratching to say the least.

I know the final score was 5-4 but they got beat bad this game, after the first 15 minutes it was a complete dominating performance by Milwaukee while they played poorly and were lucky it wasn’t 10-4 by the end of it.

We had a lot of discussion about how the game 1 bullpen decisions would look pretty dumb if they lost game 2 and sure enough they did, but for this game in particular it was quietly a beatdown and what they really needed was another timely hit or two and it didn’t come because our bullpen is on absolute fire.

Just like Murphy says.  “We have standards here”.    We aren’t going to change.  😀

For the record, Kevin Cash said he thought Diaz swung from his vantage point but didn’t look at the replay yet

From the 1B angle I thought he clearly didn't swing.

And the play at the plate I wasn't surprised they let stand. The foot clearly beat the tag, but it looked to me like the toe hit the dirt, bounced up, and didn't get down to the plate again til after the tag was applied. That's the danger with the foot first slide on a close play, it's really hard to get the front of your foot down.

No matter, this team doesn't care.

This was like a replay of the Dodgers game.

Get down 4-0 early

Cut it to 4-2 almost immediately…….

bullpen holds the line

Tie it up

Dodgers …..Mitchell with 7th inning homer to take the lead…..

Tonight ……Sal with 7 th inning homer to take the lead

Both left on left

This is some voodoo s#@t going on boys…….

In all of World Series history, there have apparently only been three lefties to hit a game-tying homer off a lefty pitcher in the 6th or later. Ruth did it in ‘28. Joe Morgan did it in ‘83. And now Sal.

Unreal stuff. It’s a different person getting it done every night, it seems. I thought it was going to have to be Chourio basically getting white-hot and annihilating everyone in front of him, but it’s been Contreras and then a different sidekick in every game. What an absolute joy.

Oh we have many now. That’s how you know you’ve arrived.

We do, there are trolls. But we have FAR more fans than we've ever hard. 49 of the 50 states were rooting for the Brewers over the LAD.

The vast majority was rootingBrewers over Rays.
It's pretty cool.

Slight correction, Sal's HR tonight only tied the game.

In ESPN's recap/takeaways from the game article, it said there were 81 foul balls in the game between both teams. A postseason high for this year. Wow. It did seem like there were a number on both sides.

Also, it says that the past 13 teams to take a 2-0 World Series lead have won.....

With the off day I'd assume everyone but Ashby is available on Monday. Probably looking at more 1 inning appearances, but we've got 3 arms who haven't even pitched out of the pen yet. And at least in short bursts I have reasonable confidence they can get the job done. Ultimately it is a must win game for the Rays at this point, and even if Freddy doesn't have a hiccup I'd be surprised if he can make it through the 5th before we wear him down.

Cash is taking risks because he knows he is outgunned.

Someone yesterday mentioned Contreras "encouraging" a few strike calls by immediately raising his hand to 'threaten' a challenge before the pitch has even been called, possibly to encourage a strike call. I thought it was an interesting observation.

Like most of you I've watched the final pitch 600 times now and the thing I can't NOT see now is Bill doing the same thing, albeit different scenario. He doesn't just point and ask for an appeal. He comes out of his crouch and offers an opportunity for the 1b ump to be the star and end it while celebrating.

I can't not see it now.

Good morning friends.  Hello from O’Hare!!! Numerous fellow Brewer fans on our way to Tampa & Orlando to descend on Tropicana.

LFG!  First two games, and now my family is going to the WS for the first time ever.  Absolutely wild.   Still doesn’t seem real.

hoping we bring home the Bacon in Game 3/4.   Would be nice to win in Milwaukee, but let’s just get it done with a sweep

The postseason so far and most check-swings in the year would say that was not a swing. If we are being honest most close ones are called no swing.

But frankly people can complain along with the roof ball, people just looking for ways to explain how they lost to a better team.
