It is Myers getting the start.  Odd they use an opener for Wilson and Rea and then let Myers start.  Also Dunn recalled and Wiemer optioned.  Hate the fact that Dunn is immediately starting over Ortiz.  I get that he was raking in AAA, but if it turns back into a straight platoon I'm going to be furious.

More Ortiz, please!

Brewers had 36 games vs RH starters before Dunn was sent down.

Ortiz started at 3B for 20 of those games.

I agree that Dunn was playing too much, but it was never a straight platoon.

Dunn didn’t make enough contact his first go around, hoping this time will be different. Also frustrating Chourio sits for his second day in a row.

I’m glad that after a one-day hiatus, Murphy is back to sucking as a manager for most of you.

For his career, Houck is a lot worse against lefties so I get trying to platoon but I'm not sure Dunn is any better of an option than Ortiz particularly since Joey has a reverse split this year.

When you dive deeper into Houck's career splits, I don't really think it makes a difference that he's been bad against LHH in the past. He's dramatically improved his splitter effectiveness and usage rate so he's really not the same pitcher he was before this year. He's throwing it 35% of the time this year vs LHH and commanding it way better than he ever has in the past.

4th attempt at getting to 10 games over, let’s get over that hump!

According to this it will be the 6th attempt!

And it’s likely that he is just giving Ortiz a day off after 2 weeks of playing everyday

Ortiz has played pretty regularly for quite awhile now, Murphy wants to get him a day, and it happens to be a day (Sunday) when guys sometimes get a blow. Plus it happens to be a RHP throwing for Boston so it makes it more palatable to slide Dunn in there.

I don't think it's anything more than that.

Alternate theory: Brewerfan has been on the mild side the last couple days, so let's call Ollie Dunn up just to............nah.

Payamps threw 7 pitches, I'd just keep it going with him. Instead, it looks like we're going with the new guy here against the heart of their order. I'm nervous...
