Marlins win again today.  For those not aware, they've been on fire lately right as MKE goes into Miami.   They do have some good young players so definitely not in the White Sox type class, but I choose to think this streak means they're due for at at least two losses this weekend rather than that its a sign they're going to a legit good team going forward.  But its baseball, so who knows.

Just tell the Marlins they've won the World Series and all there good players will be dealt by the weekend...

Rizzo and Martinez both canned in Washington a week before they have the #1 pick in the draft.

Since winning the WS in 2019 they have gone 325 W - 472 L, only the Rockies at 308 W - 488 L have been worse.

Washington clearly does not understand the bite of the apple philosophy 🙂

Funny thing is even with stacked rosters including the likes of Harper, Rendon, Trea Turner, Werth, Zimmerman, couple years of Soto, Scherzer, Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, etc from 2012-19 the Nationals still didn’t break through and win it all until their 5th bite of the apple (after barely making it out of the Wild Card game).

The Dodgers have been a bite of the apple organization too. From 2013-19 they made the playoffs every year, won 33 more games than the next best team, and won zero World Series.

It took them (thee very gold standard by which MLB organizations are measured against) eleven full seasons to break through and win a 162 game World Series where their fans could attend games.

Former Brewers minor leaguer Cam Devanney gets his first taste of the majors, replacing former Brewer Mark Canha who went on the IL.  I perennially assumed Cam would be protected each offseason from the Rule 5 draft, to find he would not be and did not need to be.  I've always been intrigued by Cam's kills.  Cool to see him get a chance in the bigs.

ABS challenge system to be used in All-Star Game

MLB will feature the use of the automated ball-strike challenge system during Tuesday's All-Star Game at Truist Park in Atlanta.

The move to use the ABS system during the All-Star Game comes after positive reception from the fans when the league successfully tested it during this year's Spring Training. MLB has been testing ABS at levels of the Minor Leagues since the 2021 season and ABS has been used in Triple-A games since 2022.

2025 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard
• Tuesday, 8 p.m. ET (Watch on FOX)
• Special events and ticketing info
• All-Star Game rosters
• Team-by-team breakdown

The All-Star Game will feature the same ABS challenge rules as Spring Training. Each team will get two challenges and can keep them if they're successful. Challenges can only be initiated by a pitcher, catcher or batter, and the request must come right after the pitch. To signal a challenge, the pitcher, catcher or batter will tap his hat or helmet to let the umpire know. No help from the dugout or other players on the field is allowed.

The Rays and the Brewers trading away 2025 comp picks isn't a good look for the upcoming draft.

Either that or other teams are starting to wise up to the Brewers strategy of drafting. Figuring out how to save money early to spend later probably won't work so well if all the teams start doing it.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Either way, I’ll take being paired with the Rays over the rest of the league.

One way means the rest of the league will do what we do thus what we do will no longer be the advantage is has been.

Brice Turang is tied for the MLB lead in average home run distance.

Bat him cleanup, move him to first base, and forget about trading for a bat. As the kids say, WOAH SOLVDD!

Just noticed Janson Junk is starting today for MIA, the former Brewer is doing pretty well with his first real shot, 3.12 ERA in 43 innings.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.
