So you’ve got a Yelich, Lockridge, Frelick outfield? I figure Contreras should be catching the mystery pitcher. Who DHs?

The Reds are playing well…

This will be a tough series.

Just noticed it is an Apple TV game tonight.   🤬

I find the number of MLB outlets as frustrating too.

With that said, I think Apple has done some good things (and bad things) with their production. Over the years, televised baseball has become a bit staid for my tastes, and I appreciate efforts to mix things up a little.

I think I'm in the minority on this, but I would like more variety of camera shots during live action. I would like more behind the plate, full-(in)field shots now that there's so much more happening on the basepaths. I also really appreciate full-stadium shots with no talking for short stretches during the game. Let us take in the atmosphere a little bit.

I feel the same way about other sports. I hate that we can't get full-field shots of football games these days with our big, beautiful, Super-HD TVs, and I love the behind-the-backboard views of basketball.

I think maybe a Daz Cameron call up again, he is by far the best outfielder in Nashville unless maybe Bauers again since he is the vet.

It’s Black and Berroa being called up according to reports since both are on the 40 man and Cameron is not anymore.

Either way I doubt those guys see a “ bunch” of playing time this weekend.

We will see.

Not really Murph's style to plug a bench guy in, so I'll be curious which bench guy or call-up is the extra player tonight.

Should we sign Kotsay for OF depth? Lockridge looked pretty lost in RF last week. This team keeps winning no matter who is playing so I'll just support whomever.

Berroa is a switch hitter and with a RHP on the mound maybe he gets thrown right into the fire tonight?

Berroa managed to be a positive WAR contributor to Toronto back in '24 with non-existent offense - I'm assuming he is a plus defender?

EDIT** I just saw he is 5'9, 178 and was 5th in all of MiLB between '21-'24 in combined stolen bases before his call up to the Blue Jays. The Brewers are just laughing at the rest of baseball right now. We are collecting every short, fast, good defending outfielder that exists.

Brewers starter for tonight is still listed as TBA. Another three-letter pitcher — Miz — figures to factor in. Brewers said he will pitch Friday either in a shorter big league outing or rehab game.  He traveled with the team to Cincinnati, I’m told, so you do the math.

We have an eight game lead in the Central, without Churio. The Reds are closing in on the Cubs.

Miz gets his first taste of humidity in Cincy 🤣 good Lord I hope no one makes contact with his pitches in any angle but right down into the dirt

Berroa is really a fantastic defender - he's shown out in Nashville. Can absolutely go get the ball in the alleys. Hitting-wise he is a singles speed guy. Nine spot or lead-off, solely.

Grant Anderson optioned……obviously they had limited choices…..scrambling…..can add him back for the DH if desired I believe

Would have thought Myers over Anderson.

Anderson in the minors, Henderson the IL, Zastryzny and Gasser on rehab.  Patrick, Yoho, McGee the second tier in the minors.  Yeager probably deserves a call-up but there's not a path this year.  Some nice depth.

With the upcoming 5 games in 4 days and a couple of our starters who are limited in length, I think having Myers, Hall, and Ashby available for long relief or spot starts is wise.

Brewer's site says maternity leave.  Big difference, and has been discussed recently.

No, it still says bereavement for Perkins. Maybe you're thinking of Collins.

Hopefully Joey can keep up the momentum up there in the 2 spot.  Also a park that Vaughn statistically looks like he would dominate in.  Gonna need some more special sauce with Berroa Lockridge back to back.
