Will tonight be more exciting, less exciting or about the same?

Right hander JT Ginn is apparently one of the best pitchers in the American League this season according to bWAR. This is Ginn’s second career start against Milwaukee. The first happening last year as the Brewers won that game 5-3 on April 18.

77.5% of batted balls against Robert Gasser are in the air this season (fly balls line drives, and pop-ups). That is 22 percentage points higher than league average. Gasser’s exit velocity allowed has been pretty good up to this point. So…🙂🤷‍♂️

Get  C-Rod up and let him pitch until his arm falls off no matter how many runs score.

Edit: Nvm, saw he is on the IL. Then McGee.

12 inning games can wreak havoc with your bullpen (which Drohan is no longer a part of). With the way the Brewers use middle relievers, the loss of Hall was a sneaky bad hit. I'd think it's got to be Sproat or Crow tomorrow, so the other one could be used for multiple relief innings tonight or tomorrow.

Just got to get through tonight and tomorrow's game to take a breath.

Rom and Kuhnel are preparing for the "throw a lot of pitches in two days and then get DFA'd" treatment.

With Patrick only throwing 8 pitches last night, have to think he's first up after Gasser and can give them at least 50 pitches.

I’m fine punting this game to save pitching.

We’ll probably get no hit through 7 and win 2-1

You have Gasser, Crow, and Sproat to get length through the next 2 games. Off day Thursday then reset with Miz at home against Philly on Friday. With Ginn today then Perkins tomorrow.. on paper today is the "punt" game. If Gasser, Crow, Rom, and Kuhnel can get you through this game we will be alright as long as Sproat doesn't implode tomorrow.

Patrick has thrown two days in a row. I don't think he will be available tonight.

How about Gasser backed up by Crow tonight, then send one of them down to add backup for Sproat tomorrow.?

They have to be prepared to punt tonight’s game and hope to have most of the bullpen available tomorrow if the game is winnable.

Then hopefully get solid starts from Misiorowski, Drohan, and Harrison against the Phillies and between that and the bookend off days be in decent shape by Tuesday.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

The Brewers now lead the league in runs per game:

But do we have enough offense to compete with the rest of the league?

Can this offense score in the playoffs against the Dodgers, Phillies and Braves?? That’s really what it’s about isn’t it??

Kuhnel has worked back-to-back days 3-4 times this season, but always after a low pitch count the first day. He threw 20 last night so who knows? I would guess Uribe is fine. I have no idea re Rom's workload history but 25 pitches is a lot to come back from. If he can't go you're naked from the left side of the pen vs Kurtz & Soderstrom. Fun times.

When the A's come to Milwaukee next year I think we should move the games to Wick Field.

Didn't catch that either.  Have seen it once before that I remember where the player was optioned then later moved to the IL instead.

Hopefully I don't fall asleep watching this.  I watched the whole thing last night and got by on less than four hours of sleep, getting up before six.  I guess having no job right now lets me do this. 🙂

I'm leaving for Mississippi on Sunday to visit my son and his wife.  He already got us some Shucker tickets.  Hopefully we don't cook like we did last year.  He's moving to Lackland AFB in September, so maybe next time we can see a San Antonio Missions game.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

I got out of my chair up 4-2.

They were down 8-4 when I got into bed.

I seriously doubt that I'll make it past the 4th tonight.  It sucks getting old.  As recently as 5 years ago these were my favorite games because all the kids would be asleep and I'd have the house to myself.  Now I can’t make it past 10:30.

After watching last night’s game - I’m terrified. Wouldn’t it make sense to throw ground ball pitchers in an open air stadium in the desert with no humidity? Gasser may set a record for HRs allowed.

What about Crow? Is he also a fly ball pitcher? Mercy,
