Drohan as our #5 is pretty incredible. Pray for rotational health for the remainder and let's go get it.

Drohan has been a lock for 6 effective innings recently. Hopefully we bust out the bats tonight and can have Wilson toss a few innings. Running with a 6 man rotation in this long stretch without an off day is going to be a challenge. I do imagine that at some point during this stretch they’ll need to make a roster move to bring in a fresh arm. Or, they send either gasser or drohan to the pen after their starts against the Twins.

Kuhnel: started a rehab assignment 8/2

crow, Gordon, Rom could all be recalled any time. 
koenig? That ship has probably sailed 

stallings and anderson both need to be down for a while since they just got optioned.

The Twins have been struggling a little bit as of late and they might be dragging their feet as they played a late game in KC last night. Lets score a bunch of runs tonight and give the high-end relievers another night off.

Obviously too early to draw any meaningful conclusions about how the trade deadline transpired until more time has passed, but winning their first three games afterward is certainly a good start.

Was curious what the actual pre/post trade deadline numbers have been for the Brewers during this competetive window going back to 2017 so looked them up in case anyone else was wondering the same...

After banking those first three post-deadline wins, need to finish at 28 W - 19 L or better over the remaining 47 games to keep the streak alive for a sixth consecutive increasing pre/post deadline W% split. Hit that 28 W - 19 L mark on the nose and they'd win a nice even 100 games.

Crow threw last night for Nashville (& was solid) so the earliest you could get something out of him would probably be the back-half of the SD series. Rom IMO has been flying under the radar & I agree is probably ahead of Koenig in the pecking order. Haven't seen Gordon yet; I think they're keeping him stretched out for now.

What I love about this is if/when they go back to a 5-man, it looks like either Drohan or Gasser goes to the pen & they're both LH, so after all the lefties that have either gotten hurt or been ineffective it'll be a nice fit.

If you maintain health, Anderson & Stallings are two very nice shuttle pieces.

Yeah, they manufactured one after the walk that Hamilton drew, and he can do that to people. That's been lacking, and I feel it's a large part of the reason he's been out there. That being said, Ortiz has been much better & I still don't see this becoming a straight platoon from here on out unless Hamilton really goes on a heater.

I was a little surprised Ortiz wasn't used late as a defensive sub.

I can’t stand Sanchez but I do think Contreras and him should split time the next week or two.    Contreras should actually rest a little

I agree with this, even though he doesn't really deserve it I believe Gasser is going back to Nashville after his start to get another reliever in and then when Gasser's spot comes back next week they go with Crow.

Sanchez has to be the most underappreciated backup catcher in MLB. I see him get grief from Brewers fandom all over the internet when he has a 130 wRC+ and 1 fWAR in just under 200 PA. There's an argument he should actually be playing more with Contreras having a down year with the bat.

MLB Network just did a short interview with Dustin May.  

97 pitches pitched yesterday and said all he brought with him to Milwaukee was his wife and his wiener dog.  His favorite pass time is golf and the weirdest thing is he wears is a cowboy hat most of the time.  2 most welcoming players on the Brewers were Kyle Harrison and David Hamilton.
