Honestly, I feel like Yelich is getting pretty close to being where he was with the Marlins.

And I would take that in a heartbeat.

Strickland is on the reds

i feel sorry for him

I can't help but feel a little bad for the Reds. A 3-20 start is beyond brutal

Wait, Lo Cain is C-3P-Lo?  How the heck did the sweaty nerd intern miss Lorenzo Cainrissian?  It writes itself.

Anyway, had to sign in just to complain about this.  Go Crew.

Okay. Thought Hiura might have figured something out after his hot spring training, guess not. Bring Brosseau back up. He didn't deserve to be sent down anyways.

There really is no justification for any team to be this pathetic.  They should be relegated to AAA.  Time to make this like the Premier league.

I wish this was the Cardinals.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

My target is first half of 2018 with the Brewers because I know how that looked as opposed to just numbers with the Marlins.

On Saturday I was just as excited about his solid singles to center and left center as the home run because that’s what I remember about those 3 months. Spraying a lot of hits and enough HRs to be on pace for the low 20’s.

I think he’s had more solid hits in the last 10 days than he has had in any 10 day stretch since 2019. So, he’s getting closer. I’d still like to see him string a few games together where he avoids multiple strikeouts and weak grounders to the right side.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

XD

Also, we need a big bat, impact first basemen.

To bring the negativity, the bottom three in the division are so bad that the Cardinals have a cakewalk to at least a wild card spot.  ?

The Brewers now have the second best run differential (+36) in the National League behind only the Dodgers.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

They had Andrew Cutchrissian.

I only saw 3 or 4 of them but my favorite was Obi Wong Kenobi.

I didn’t see all of the telecast though because I was watching Empire Strikes Back on a Group Watch with 2 of my daughters while keeping one eye on the Brewers.

3rd best in the majors with the Yankees also being +49 like the Dodgers.

Reds are an incredible 13.5 games out of first place in the central after only 24 games.

This would be such a relief, and honestly that's the kind of player he's being paid to be. The length of the contract reflects his MVP peak, but he's really not making that much per season. Five years from now it might be an albatross regardless, but if he can return to just his Miami form for the next few seasons then we are in great shape.

Also second in the NL and 4th in MLB with 118 runs scored.  Only two runs behind the top spot (120, Angels and Mets).  Seems unfathomable.

Exactly. The main indication for me is that he's not having those at-bats he had last year where he looks completely lost at the plate. He's making contact for the most part and hitting the ball hard. The key is just keeping the ball elevated and not hitting those choppers to the right side.

The problem is, my friend, if they get relegated they'll have to pitch to this statue of a man:

I admit: I can't stop watching this clip. What an absolute space rocket.
